UFC on Fox 11: Browne vs. Werdum Odds
This Saturday at 8 p.m. UFC on Fox is hosting a heavyweight matchup between two top contenders that promises to drastically effect the title picture. Fabricio Werdum faces off against Travis Browne who’s coming off three straight brutal KO’s, with Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche filling the co-main slot on what should be an entertaining card.
Now you’re probably wondering if there’s any money to be made on these fights, and truth be told there really isn’t much, look at this article as a cautionary one. Werdum was at +170 but has been creeping up towards +185 in some places, if that number goes up anymore I would hop on that. Werdum’s striking is unfairly maligned and if he can get it to the ground where he’s just better than 99% of the world, he can take it. Same concept with Carmouche against Tate, her line started at +150 but it’s also been going up, I’d keep an eye on that since Carmouche is no slouch. The other two main card fights are almost even, and those fights are up in the air so don’t bother with them.
On the undercard Baczysnki at +280 and Perpetuo at +265 are tempting picks, but they’ve been matched up against stone-hearted killers so I’d avoid them, then again this is MMA and crazy things happen on every card. There’s Zachrich at +200, but he’s fighting a guy who wins by submission a lot, and he’s lost by submissions a lot, I’ll let you do the math on that one. Healy is the only undercard fight I’d bet on, since his grinding style could wear on Masvidal who prefers to keep the distance and box. Healy’s been floating around +140 and honestly I’d expect that to drop the closer the fights get. That covers this weekend’s fights, here’s to making money and enjoying violence.
