Carbon Poker Provides US Players With Mobile Poker
Carbon Poker has announced that real money online mobile poker is now available to all their customers, following a period of beta testing. Having launched a play money mobile game earlier this year, the expectation was always that Carbon would progress to offering real money games and players are sure to be delighted that it has now happened.
Poker players based in the United State are likely to be particularly pleased. The number of decent poker sites accepting US players has diminished somewhat in the last few years, primarily due to the lack of regulation in the region. Players in most regulated markets have had access to mobile poker for some time, but it has not happened for US players until now.
This move from Carbon Poker could well be a very smart one. Their poker room is on the Merge Poker Network, which has been losing traffic at a substantial rate over recent months. While this traffic loss has been partly caused by some issues outside of Merge’s control, such as a slowdown across the whole industry and the difficulties that all US facing sites have been facing, the network has also made some policy changes that have resulted in many players looking for alternative options.
Mobile poker could be exactly what the network needs to start attracting some of these players back. While it is almost certain that other US facing poker sites will start offering mobile poker at some point in the future, the fact that Carbon is the first to do so will very possibly enable them to benefit from increased traffic.
To begin with, the mobile games available from Carbon are fairly limited. The company has stated that it plans to increase the offerings over time though. Accessing the games is very simple, as you can play them directly through your mobile browser without having to download an app. All you have to do is visit the Carbon website on your mobile website and log in. You will be able to start playing immediately.
