Full Tilt Poker Payments To Be Made
American players who lost their balances at Full Tilt Poker nearly three years ago look set to finally start receiving payments. Following last year’s announcement that all monies owed should be reimbursed by March 31st of this year, the claims administrator (Garden City Group) has now announced that the first round of payments will be made this Friday.
The Garden City Group was placed in charge of these reimbursements by the Department of Justice, after Full Tilt had shut down owing millions of dollars to players. The online poker room was subsequently purchased by PokerStars, and an agreement was made to ensure players were paid back what they were owed.
Full Tilt Poker is now operational again, although it no longer services the US market. Non US customers have already been reimbursed and it looks like US customers will get their turn this week. Players that completed and submitted their claims should receive their money paid directly into their bank accounts on Friday.
The Garden City Group has been carrying out test transactions over the last week to confirm they have the correct banking information. Accounts where the test transactions have been successful will be the first to be reimbursed. Where the test transactions have not been successful, the Garden City Group has sent out email instructions telling players how to update their banking details.
If all goes according to plan, this long running saga could soon come to a close once and for all.
