Meet Our Authors - James Peralta
I've been a loyal reader of GamblingSites.org since the summer of 2018. And when I heard they were looking for authors based in Canada, I jumped at the chance to be one of their maple syrup connoisseurs! Just kidding, I'm their Toronto-based sports and casino gambling content author. As a recent addition to the team, most of my writing so far has been about casinos, sports, and laws that are specific to online gambling in Canada.
I started writing about sports in 2007 during my first year at U of T Mississauga, but I didn't start freelancing until after I graduated. I started contributing to a few sports websites and eventually stumbled into the gambling world in 2014.
At a local casino, you can usually find me playing poker, looking for the best snacks, and contemplating on whether I should bet on some ponies (I usually don't). Because of a few losses in the past, I'm no longer the most frequent sports bettor, but I still root for the Raptors!
I was born and raised in Toronto and don't really plan on living anywhere else. My fiancee and I spend our weekends exploring local bars, biking, and watching A LOT of television in our very tiny apartment. I work full-time as a freelance author and get paid to talk about the things I enjoy. With my extensive background in sports betting and casino gambling, I share my knowledge (and my mistakes) with other readers every day.

How Many Hot Dogs Could You Eat at a Hot Dog Eating Contest?
Probably four, but if it were a cannoli-eating contest, then that might be a different story.

What is in Your Fridge Right Now?
Some produce, leftover Kraft Dinner, and a Caramilk bar that I keep in the freezer. It's all about quality and not quantity.
