By Michael Stevens in Casino & Gaming on April 1, 2017

Gambling is a business that’s grown over the years into one of the most lucrative businesses in the world. In the United States alone, gambling is a $240 billion a year industry. The world is a playground for gamblers these days; almost everywhere has a casino resort that you can make into your entire vacation.

Most of these luxurious hotels and casinos are set up to include everything you could ever want to do or see while on vacation. These places have become so all-inclusive that it’s easy to see why they’ve also become vacation destinations instead of merely lodging accommodations.

Most of the resorts I’m going to tell you about have everything from massive casinos, multiple swimming pools, restaurants, shows, and even full scale shopping malls all found inside the resort. They also have activities set up for families and child care options to give parents a little free time to be alone.

1 – Potawatomi Hotel and Casino

March 7, 1991, in Milwaukee Wisconsin the Forest County Potawatomi Community opened the Potawatomi Bingo establishment. When it first opened the facility was only 45,800 square feet. Over the years the facility has grown to an impressive 780,000 square foot venue.

The opening of this facility marked the first off-reservation Indian ran casino in the country and is still the only one of its kind in the state of Wisconsin. When the Forest County Potawatomi Community first opened the gaming facility it was designed to pull their people out of a life of poverty and to help improve the lives of those in the surrounding community.

When you come to this resort you’re not only going to have a wonderful experience but you also get a chance to learn about the history of the tribe that runs the resort.

The Potawatomi has a huge event center that offers great entertainment experience. They also offer the Northern Lights Theater and Bonkers Comedy Club. Along with these extra entertainment options comes the dining. The restaurants span the globe and offer up foods from all over. You get to choose from comfort and classic at the Canal Street Café, to warm Italian at Bella Italiana, steak lovers feel right at home at Dream Dance Steak, and of course, it wouldn’t be a casino without a buffet. The Buffet offers everything from Mexican, Asian, to American so everyone can find something they like for a good price.
