Happy Monday! Here’s hoping you had a fun and safe New Years’ celebration. We’re back at it today with another jam-packed schedule, which should be music to the ears of sports bettors everywhere. Monday brings a 10-game NBA slate along with plenty of NHL and college hoops action. A Monday night matchup between the Steelers and Browns is also on tap, while European soccer’s festive fixtures roll on.

We’ll take to the pitch for some Monday odds boosters at BetOnline.ag. Several of Europe’s top clubs will be in action. Let’s start 2022 with a boosted bankroll, shall we? Here’s how to bet BetOnline’s odds boosters for January 3.

Mason Greenwood or Jadon Sancho to Score (Was -110, Now +125)

Jadon Sancho’s first year back in England hasn’t necessarily gone according to plan. The 21-year-old arrived in Manchester from Borussia Dortmund in one of the splashiest signings of the summer, but his adjustment the rigors of the Premier League has been a slow one. Sancho has scored just once without an assist in only nine appearances in the league, including six starts. He has also scored once in his three appearances in United’s Champions League campaign.

Sancho should start today’s game against Wolverhampton next to Bruno Fernandes in Ralf Rangnick’s midfield. The German manager prefers to begin games with a 4-2-2 setup, but United looked far better after switching to a 4-1-3-2 at halftime of last week’s clash with Burnley. Either style gives Sancho more room to operate in an attacking capacity, which is good for his prospects of finding the back of the net.

As for Mason Greenwood, whether he starts is a serious question mark. Rangnick will likely trot out Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani as his preferred striking partnership up front. Greenwood is another attacker. If Sancho and Fernandes start in the attacking midfield spots, there likely won’t be room in the first XI for Greenwood. The England international is fully capable of making an impact if he comes on as a substitute, but it’s hard to feel too confident in any player’s chances of scoring in a limited 20- or 30-minute reserve role.

United Are One-Goal Favorites at Home Over Wolverhampton Today With -165 Moneyline Odds

So, the Red Devils are good value to pick up all three points at the expense of the visitors. That said, should Sancho or Greenwood to score have such favorable +125 odds? One has been struggling to hit the target all season long, while the other may not even start the game.

Manchester United, Villarreal, and Sevilla All to Win (Was +279, Now +325)

As mentioned, oddsmakers are bullish on United’s chances today. The legendary club is in the midst of a supremely disappointing campaign, as they’re just seventh place in the league table entering Monday’s clash. That said, the results have been a bit better since Rangnick took over for the departed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United have picked up four wins with a draw in their last five Premier League fixtures, including a 3-1 triumph over Burnley last week. United have yet to lose a game in any competition since Solskjaer was shown the door following a 4-1 embarrassment against Watford just before Thanksgiving.

So, Man U should add another win to the column today at Old Trafford against Wolverhampton. Wolves have had their last two games postponed for Covid purposes, which means this will be their first match since a goalless draw against Chelsea on December 19. Finding the back of the net has been a huge issue for this team all year. Wolves have won just once in their last six games in the league. They have scored a grand total of one goal in that span, as well. Each of Wolverhampton’s last seven games have ended scoreless or 1-0.

Monday also brings three games in the Spanish top flight. Villarreal will play host to Levante, while Sevilla will take on Cadiz on the road. Villarreal are sizable 1.5-goal favorites over Levante, who currently sit dead-last in the league table. This has been a disappointing campaign for Villarreal, who are just 10th and 21 points south of league-leaders Real Madrid through their first 18 games of the season.

This team won the Europa League just last season with a triumph over Man United in the final. Fortunately, a matchup with Levante is as good as it gets. Levante haven’t won a game all season in La Liga, with eight draws and 10 defeats on their ledger.

Sevilla are -145 favorites on the road at Cadiz. This has been a magical year for Sevilla, who are second in the league and gunning for a Champions League spot. They’re eight points behind Real Madrid at the top, so nabbing a league title likely won’t be in the cards. Sevilla were held to a 1-1 draw by Barcelona in their last match, and they haven’t lost in the league since a 2-1 setback at the Santiago Bernabeu in late November. Cadiz, meanwhile, aren’t much better than Levante. Cadiz are also in the relegation zone and in 19th place. Their hopes of remaining in the top flight aren’t dead yet, but the clock is ticking. Cadiz’s 15 goals on the year are the second-fewest in La Liga.

What’s the Best Bet?

As I said before, I’m skeptical of either Sancho or Greenwood’s chances to find the back of the net for Man United today. I do expect the Red Devils to take care of business against what has been a punchless Wolves squad, but neither player looks like great value to score. If United does pick up all three points, I’d expect Ronaldo to have a say in the matter.

As a result, the best bet on Monday is to take United, Villarreal, and Sevilla all to win. You’re getting favorable +325 odds on this three-way result, and there’s plenty of reason for optimism. All three teams are heavy moneyline favorites. United should get the better of Wolves, while Villarreal and Sevilla will face the two worst clubs in La Liga, respectively.

Manchester United, Villarreal, and Sevilla All to Win (+325)
