At last, our long national nightmare is finally over. Almost over, at least. The eighth and final season of HBO’s acclaimed series “Game of Thrones” finally returns after a long hiatus on Sunday night.
You can be sure that nerds all over the country (myself included) will be donning their cloaks in anticipation of Sunday night’s season premiere. Viewership numbers will surely be massive for the first new episode of the show since season 7 came to a close on August 27, 2017.
Of course, there will also be huge betting interest with the series winding to a close. The final season is sure to bring no shortage of drama as the various houses battle for the coveted Iron Throne.
