Stunna will be accompanied by the marvelous analytical team consisting of SPUNJ, Maniac, and Furthermore, HenryG and Sadokist will be among the commentators with lovely Frankie Ward in charge of the interviews.
The thing with DH Masters Dallas is that it’s quite different than previous iterations. First of all, there are only two groups with eight teams in each, all fighting for the top three spots that lead to the playoffs. Group winners advance straight to the semifinals while the second and third place teams have to kickstart their playoffs campaign from the quarters.
As for the actual group stage, it will feature a double-elimination system with first-round matches as Bo1 and all following ones as Bo3. The playoffs will be played as a single-elimination bracket with all matches set for Bo3 series. This tournament format will lessen the number of potential upsets with 21 matches scheduled for Bo3 series.

Team Liquid vs Lucid Dream
We’ll be talking about Team Liquid’s grand finals chokes later on. That said, let’s focus on the actual match instead of talking about that. For starters, it doesn’t take a genius to understand Team Liquid is a heavy favorite here. In fact, I’m sure many of you haven’t even heard about Lucid Dream until now. No, they are not a brand-new team from EU or NA. They’re a relatively older force from Thailand with pretty big aspirations. However, big aspirations won’t make help them defeat Team Liquid…
Let’s check out the facts real fast. Team Liquid has a far superior roster, map pool depth, in-game strats and much better players on each position. On paper, this is the epitome of a mismatch. CS:GO bookmakers are well aware of this, having Team Liquid to win at petty -2000. Obviously, this is not worth your while. There are far better options available for this match.
TL Handicap (-9.5) at -118 and TL to Win Both Pistol Rounds at -182 are definitely worth considering. I’d even go with maps under 24.5 but, unfortunately, Betway doesn’t feature it. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not trying to bash on Lucid Dream here. And yes, I’m well-aware that PTC and qqGOD are in a pretty good form. But still, it’s Team Liquid we’re talking about here and they’re usually on point when it comes to opening tournaments. It’s the closing out part that they haven’t mastered yet…
NiP vs TYLOO
Ninjas in Pyjamas have been playing pretty well in recent months. Seven wins and three defeats in their last ten matches (all in May) speak a lot. And their opponents were mostly top-tier teams such as ENCE, NaVi, Mousesports, and AVANGAR. Despite missing out on ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, this Swedish side will fancy their chances at the ECS next month.
As for TYLOO, their track record is even better than NiP’s. Eight wins and two defeats, twice against MVP PK. However, the quality of their opposition is nowhere near the likes of ENCE, NaVi and the rest of the teams that were on NiP’s pecking order earlier this month. Still, wins are wins and it’s safe to say TYLOO will be coming into this match with high spirits.
According to CS:GO bookies (mainly BetWay), NiP is the favorite team here. They’re sitting at -334 with TYLOO at +220. And, even though I believe NiP will take this one, TYLOO’s round-count will be upwards of 10. Since NiP’s at -334, I can’t really recommend it to folk looking for greater value. However, what I can recommend is Total Rounds Over 26.5 at +105. Yes, I know that I’m often forcing these Total Rounds Over/Under bets, but I just can’ help it. Both teams are enjoying their play at the moment so I really can’t see one of them suffering a blowout here.
Renegades vs G2 Esports
To be honest, Renegades’ CS_summit 4 performance was a huge disappointment for me. I expected far greater things from the Australians. Needless to say, their group stage finish without a single win left me stunned.
The question is, will the boys from the Land Down Under jump right back up like kangaroos or will that lackluster performance bring forth more of the same in Dallas? Well, their first-round Bo1 matchup against G2 Esports will definitely answer our questions.
But what about DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 betting predictions for this match? Well, since the match itself is quite tricky, it will take some wittiness to correctly predict the outcome. Let’s start from the odds, despite recent flops Renegades is still a slight favorite. BetWay has them at -143. G2 Esports, on the other hand, sits at +105. Not a big difference, obviously.
However, as far as I’m concerned, I wouldn’t go with a match-winner bet here. It’s just too risky since we can’t know how Renegades players reacted to their CS_summit 4 embarrassment. Instead, I’d go with total rounds over 26.5 at -125. Both of these teams play attractive CS:GO and, since this is a Bo1 contest, I reckon neither of them will back down until the final round.
Fnatic vs Cloud9
Fnatic vs Cloud9 will be a battle of wits, more than anything else. Generally speaking, these two teams are vastly different in terms of playstyle, rotations, and holding formations. These two teams played against each other on iBUYPOWER Masters earlier this year. Twice, to be precise. One win for Fnatic (Mirage) and one for Cloud9 (Overpass). Since then, Fnatic’s results portray a much better form. Need I remind you, Cloud9’s recent BPS performances saw them with one to nine W/L ratio.
However, considering Cloud9’s roster overhaul that started in late March this year, perhaps it’s not wise to take their head to head matches (dating back to January) in consideration. After all, we’re talking about two different C9 rosters here. And, arguably, the new C9 roster should be stronger with cajunB and vice onboard. And let’s not forget about their new coach valens either…
Despite all that, Fnatic is still coming into this match as the favorite team. CS:GO betting sites have them at roughly -250 which seems pretty solid. A small(ish) stake accumulator potential, no doubt about it!
DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 Betting Tips | Which Teams Will Reach the Playoffs
Here comes the tricky part… Which of these sixteen teams will reach the playoffs? Need I remind you, only six of them will find their place in the final stage. Since we’re talking about a double-elimination group stage system, there are numerous possibilities as to which fixtures we’ll see from round two onward. Despite that, if we take into account the recent events, team forms, morale, and map pool depth, there are several teams that stand out.
Starting off with group A, Team Liquid is the obvious favorite. And I’m not just talking about the group stage but the whole tournament. Yes, the toughest NA team is still plagued with poor grand finals, but they’re still the second-best team in the world. And, quite frankly, it would be proper time for NAF and the boys to win a tournament.
As far as reaching the playoffs is concerned, there’s no way the boys in blue will go home right after the group stage. Lucid Dream should be a piece of cake, despite the match being a Bo1. Moving forward, Team Liquid will be going up against either Vitality or North. While that’s going to be a much tougher contest than LD, anything but a lenient TL win would be a huge surprise. As for the final group A upper bracket match, that’ll most likely be against FaZe. NiP and TYLOO have decent chances too, but I reckon recently upgraded FaZe (with NEO as IGL) will make a proper stance. Either way, Team Liquid should go through to the playoffs. The only question is – via quarterfinals or semifinals?
With NEO’s arrival, FaZe Clan will be hoping to step up a notch. Their electric fans are eagerly expecting better performances and more trophies, both of which could be on display in Dallas. However, FaZe Clan will have quite a few real tests in the group stage. Sure, their initial match against Windigo Gaming most likely won’t be that hectic. However, knowing FaZe Clan’s ups and downs, I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up losing.
But let’s assume they win. Their next match would be against either NiP or TYLOO, both of which are known to be problematic against them. If NiKo is up to his usual self, I reckon FaZe can leapfrog over either of these teams, paving the path for Group A upper bracket round 3 spectacle. Team Liquid vs FaZe Clan. If everything plays out like this, the winner between these two teams will be incredibly difficult to predict. But no matter which way it goes, both of these teams will advance to the playoffs.
Driven by ZywOo’s brilliant performances, Team Vitality won CS_summit 4 defeating both ENCE and Team Liquid (among many others) on their way to the trophy. Their recent triumphs make them undefeated across seventeen matches. Fifteen wins and two draws, with their last defeat being against Virtus.pro during ESEA MDL S31 EU. There’s not a doubt in my mind that the tenacious French side will transition their stellar form and defeat North without too many issues.
However, their second match could be a cumbersome task as they’ll most likely have to go up against Team Liquid in a Bo3 contest. Sure, they defeated them in the CS_summit 4 grand finals. But still, defeating the strongest NA side twice in such a short time span is surely too much. Right?
Even if they end up losing to Team Liquid, teams such as TYLOO, Windigo, and NiP shouldn’t be that big of a deal for this in-form French side. With that in mind, I firmly believe we’ll see Team Vitality in the playoffs. Starting from the quarterfinals, of course.
Moving onto group B, the team that I believe will go straight to the semifinals is ENCE! I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that ENCE is making waves in the CS:GO competitive scene. Not only has this Finnish team reached the IEM Katowice finals but they’ve also snatched a trophy right in front of Astralis. In fact, they had to beat the greatest CS:GO team ever twice in order to get their hands on the trophy. With that in mind, morale will definitely not be lacking cometh the DH Masters Dallas group stage.
ENCE’s initial Bo1 match against Isurus Gaming should be nothing but a mere formality. Next up, they’ll face either Renegades or G2 Esports. While I do expect a much tougher Bo3 contest no matter which of these two teams goes through, I still see ENCE reaching the upper bracket round three. They are coming into this tournament with high spirits and I doubt they’ll let their momentum go to waste by dropping down to the lower bracket.
NRG’s CS_summit 4 campaign was pretty solid all across the board. They managed to qualify for the playoffs and they lost just one match in the group stage. Against Vitality, of all team. They ended up on the third/fourth place after losing to Team Liquid in what was a rather lackluster performance from Brehze and the company.
On the bright side, NRG’s June will be extremely busy since they’ve qualified for both ESL Season 9 and ECS Season 7 Finals. That said, we can think of DH Masters Dallas 2019 as a preparation tournament for these players.
Don’t take that the wrong way. NRG will still want to make their presence known in Dallas. After all, they’re playing in their home country and will want to prove themselves as the second-best CS:GO team in NA. Group B will be their proving ground with FURIA being first on the chopping order. Even though it’s a Bo1 match we’re talking about here, in-form Brehze and CeRq should be the decisive duo. Moving forward, they’ll go up against the better of Fnatic vs Cloud9. The Swedes’ playstyle and map pool depth will be a much bigger threat to this NRG roster. In case of Cloud9’s first-round win, I expect NRG to cement their authority and secure a lenient 2-0 win.
Last but not least, Fnatic. The Swedish side has had its fair share of ups and downs in recent years. However, I need to emphasize the fact that we’re talking about a team which hasn’t won a notable tournament since WESG 2017. Sure, they had several silver and bronze medals since then. Most recently on IEM XIV Sydney and StarSeries Season 7, both of which are still relatively fresh.
As far as Fnatic’s DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 betting tips are concerned, I expect a hard-fought battle in the lower bracket. In all honesty, the Swedes do have the quality to finish in the UB section, but Cloud9 could make a proper Bo1 upset right off the bat.
Despite the first-round result, the quality will be on Fnatic’s side as far as the lower bracket segment is concerned. Unless ENCE or NRG make a flop and end up in the LB too. Then, group B will become the epitome of a sticky situation. With two or possibly even three excellent teams having to battle against each other for a place in the quarterfinals.

As you can see, Team Liquid is once again the favorite to win. However, I wouldn’t bet my money on the boys in blue. For starters, the odds are quite low, especially considering quite fierce competitors all across the board. The second reason is Team Liquid’s poor run of form when it comes to grand finals. It’s no secret the best NA team has issues with closing tournaments out. And, quite frankly, it could easily happen in Dallas too.
With that in mind, which team offers the highest value outright bet here? Well, there are a couple of names that are right behind Team Liquid. ENCE, Vitality and FaZe stand tall as the toughest competitors. ENCE is still at an all-time high after defeating Astralis in Madrid. Twice, mind you. Vitality is also coming into this tournament with high spirits after conquering CS_summit 4. FaZe Clan, even though they haven’t won anything since BPS Miami, are still considered a force to be reckoned with. Knowing the quality of their roster, and now with a brand-new IGL, they could be a pleasant surprise.
Needless to say, this DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 betting tips can finish without a proper prediction. So, which of these three teams, in my opinion, has the best shot at taking the grand prize home? Well, contrary to popular belief, I’d go with FaZe Clan. Even though both ENCE and Vitality are in much greater form, FaZe Clan has that special spark that can put them above the rest of the competition. And, if push comes to shove in the grand finals, they’re the team that can deal the killing blow to choke-prone Team Liquid.
