This is it, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls – the last major CSGO tournament of 2018 is already underway and, my oh my, we’ve already witnessed several exceptional matches. Luckily for all bettors (those who like to play it safe), we haven’t seen any notable surprises early on. Astralis, MiBR, NaVi, Team Liquid, Renegades and Mousesports have all found their way into the playoffs, ready to make a name for themselves.
Of course, Astralis has much more on the line than all other teams that are still in this tournament. Need I remind you, if The Great Danes win this tournament, they will also win Intel Grand Slam. This means they’ll be coming home (well, technically, they are already home haha) with an extra $1,000,000 in their purse, making them the richest CSGO team of all time.
With that being said, the playoffs stage of ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals is nicely poised and I just can’t wait for the playoffs matches to start. I’m sure all of you esports bettors feel the same way. So, to help you kill the time, I’ve come up with ESL Pro League S8 Finals betting picks. Not only will they help you kill time but will give you some insight into which teams could see this one through!
However, if you’re just a beginner and you don’t know which online betting website to use for betting on this tournament, here’s a quick list to help you out!
Where to Bet on ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals – Best Esports Bookies
My bookie picks are outright brilliant across all departments, and they are as follows:
Great Bet Variety
Not only does each and every single one of these bookies provide great bet variety but high betting odds too. This is especially true for esports matches; CSGO matches if I am to be more precise. There are small differences between them so, depending on which particular bets you’d like to place, make sure you check out all options before you put the ring on one of them.
Needless to say, esports betting is becoming sort of like an industry inside of the online betting industry. All major betting websites have recognized the importance of esports with some of them even opening esports hubs dedicated to the seasoned esports bettors.
With that in mind, rest assured all of our picks are well-versed as far as esports betting is concerned. Esports bets aren’t difficult to find and, as I’ve just explained above, the variety of available bets is admirable, to say the least.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced bettor, you’ll realize just how fluid each of these betting websites is. They are simple to navigate, aren’t too complicated as far as placing bets is concerned, and won’t waste your time with unwanted ads and any of that flimsy stuff. Just pure esports betting and that’s it!
Short Group Stage Recap
As I already mentioned in the introductory paragraph, the group stage went without any notable surprises… at least in terms of the advancing teams. Their placements of Group B teams perhaps ended up a bit skewed with NaVi having to battle it out in the lower bracket.
Still, realistically speaking – the best 6 teams advanced through and we’re going to be up for quite a spectacle coming into the quarterfinals and semifinals matches.
ESL Pro League S8 Finals Betting Picks
Mousesports vs Renegades
What is there to be said about Renegades? Well, I guess I should start with a huge Congratulations since no one (including me) didn’t expect the 5th NA seed to go through to the playoffs of this tournament. But here they are – jks and the co are on quite the roll, beating 3 solid teams in the lower bracket Group B to earn their spot among the 6 best teams competing in Odense.
However, I just can’t see them going through to the semifinals… I just can’t see them winning against Mousesports. Just by looking at their recent matches and the tournaments they’ve played at reveals the truth that, after all, Renegades still isn’t a tier A team.
Advancing through to the playoffs of ESL Pro League S8 Finals is a huge step in the right direction though, and no one can take that away from these players. Primarily jks who carried his team all the way through the lower bracket. But realistically speaking, Mousesports seems like a much better team at the moment.
Need I remind you – we are talking about the team that beat Natus Vincere without too much hassle. That’s something we shouldn’t take for granted. Once again, Renegades are on a 3-match win streak but I doubt that high team morale will make up for the lack of experience, skill and proper IGL expertise in their match against Mousesports.
Team Liquid vs Natus Vincere
Now, this is going to be the quarterfinals match to watch, mark my words! NaVi against Team Liquid! Currently ranked as the 2nd and 3rd CSGO teams in the world, right after the dominant Astralis roster who isn’t going to step down from the throne anytime soon.
So what smart things should I say about this matchup? How should I help all of you seeking for proper ESL Pro League S8 Finals betting picks?
Well, for starters, let’s say that Team Liquid has better chances of winning this. Yup, I’ve said it; it’s out there! Team Liquid perhaps hasn’t been at the very best run of form recently, especially their ECS campaign which was a real debacle.
However, I like to judge teams based on their performance in the current tournament… and there’s no doubt Team Liquid is looking like the stronger side at the moment.
NaVi had a really tough time against ORDER, finishing off with an unimpressive 16-14 score. It could’ve gone either way… and if it had, I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t be seeing NaVi playing in this quarterfinals match. S1mple is a God, there’s no point in denying that… but the rest of his teammates are solid at best.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Team Liquid beat NaVi in their last two head to head matches. ELEAGUE Premier (2-0 was the final score) and ESL Pro League 7 Finals (also 2-0), so it’s safe to say zews has the tactics right.
With all that being said, I firmly believe Team Liquid will see this one through and advance to the semifinals where they will go up against MiBR. Needless to say, bookies share the same opinion – At the moment, BetWay has -182 on Team Liquid to win this one.
Who Will Get the Big W?
Of course, we can’t stray away from the fact Astralis still is the strongest favorite to win this. The motivation for their superstar roster surely won’t be lacking as they’re not just playing for this tournament but for Intel Grand Slam too. Not to mention the fact they’re playing in front of their own fans which will definitely up the pressure even further.
Many people have questioned their readiness coming into this competition. Many people suggested they will fail under great pressure. Some people even suggested they might be out in the group stage… Yet here they are, winning the group and advancing straight through to the semifinals like it was nothing. Can they go through all the way?
I actually think they can!
Those of you who regularly tune in to my writeups know I’m not exactly Astralis’ biggest fan.
However, it will not be easy… not at all! The likes of Team Liquid, NaVi and MiBR have already shown us that they can beat The Great Danes. The latter beat them a few weeks ago, showing the world even the best CSGO team at the moment can be beaten.
Realistically speaking, only the best teams have advanced through to the playoffs so it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how this story unravels.
