I always get excited when Evolution Gaming announces a new live casino game. I’ve been waiting for them to release a live dealer keno or bingo game for quite some time, and with the release of Mega Ball, I need wait no longer.
With competitors like Playtech stepping on the accelerator and strongly competing with Evolution Gaming in some European markets, they recently announced 12 new releases for this year. Isn’t it funny how competition brings out the best in us at times?
Anyhow, let’s set aside future games for now and focus on the game at hand. This is my Mega Ball review. I’ll explain how it works, what you can win, and what I thought of it.
Mega Ball – How It Works
This is what happened when I previewed Mega Ball by Evolution Gaming:
First, I entered the studio, and the live dealer welcomed me. I was just able to buy in before a new draw started. The ball machine was already spinning the 51 balls in the background.
I set the value of my cards to £1 a piece and decided to buy 10. For a £10 wager, I had 10 chances to win. I thought that was the right level of risk until I figured this game out. It’s possible to buy up to 200 cards per game if you wish.
The draw then began. The machine offered up 20 balls in quick succession. They were marked off on my cards automatically, so I didn’t have to do anything at all.
What I didn’t expect, but was impressed by, is that the cards move around during the draw. The cards with the best chance of winning move towards the top in your user interface.
Just before the machine offered up the last ball, the studio lighting changed, and a whole new, exciting atmosphere was generated. There was a strong sense that something epic was about to happen.
This is when the multiplier kicks in. A random number generator creates a multiplier of between 5x and 100x. This applies to any line wins, and you can win a top prize of 1,000,000x with the maximum multiplier in play. In my game, it was only worth 5x.
On rare occasions, a second Mega Ball will be drawn. This didn’t happen when I was playing, but I know that it does happen.
I didn’t win anything on my first draw. Oh well, that’s how it goes sometimes! I did enjoy the game a lot, though. It was a good rush for £10.
This is a fast-paced and exciting game. I really liked that there was no messing around. I sat down, bought my cards, and the game began almost instantly. It was a thrilling ride, a little like a digital roller-coaster, and it was over faster than I expected, leaving me hankering for more.
Like most Evolution live games, this one has plenty of interactive features and extras that make it stand out and improve the user experience. Here’s what I noticed about this game.
Interactive Cards – Like I said above, the cards shift around as new numbers are marked off. This makes it incredibly easy to keep track of your best cards.
Necessary Numbers – You’ll also see the number you need to win directly above your digital game cards. You’ll also see exactly how much you could win if you match them.
Studio Effects – Of course, Evolution Gaming has gone the extra mile to make this game entertaining. As well as a lively game host, there are lighting, sound, and lots of other studio effects.

Is Mega Ball Rigged?
No way. Evolution Gaming has licences from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. Both of these regulators would ban Evolution Gaming if its games did not pass their strict fairness tests.
Can I Play Mega Ball on My Mobile?
Yes, this live game is fully compatible with every mobile device. You can play it on your mobile phone, your iPad, or any other tablet device with no download required.
Can I Interact With the Mega Ball Host?
Yes, you can type messages and tip her. However, this is more of a game show-style offering. She’ll be busy hosting the game, calling numbers, and entertaining you and the other players. Don’t expect too much attention. The host has her work cut out for her in this game.
Is Evolution Gaming Trustworthy?
Yes, it’s the leading live games company, and it has won more industry awards than I can count. If you can’t trust Evolution Gaming, you can’t trust anyone. It runs certified safe and fair casino games.
