MLB Betting Picks: Verlander or Ryu? Bryant or Machado? Pirates or Phillies? (Betting For The Cycle)

Four baseball betting picks come your way in the latest edition of “Betting For The Cycle”, as Drew Goldfarb, Taylor Smith and Jim Beviglia give you their picks and confidence level in each selection. This week, we take a look at two separate Daily Fantasy baseball plays, a game pick, and a series pick for the week and weekend ahead.

First, a look at Thursday’s MLB game between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals. Can Atlanta overcome Stephen Strasburg, or can the Nats use their ace to propel them closer in the NL East?

Next up, a Daily Fantasy pick. Aces Justin Verlander and Hyun-Jin Ryu are each scheduled to pitch on Friday, but which should you take in Daily Fantasy? Verlander against the Texas Rangers, or Ryu against the Miami Marlins?

In our series pick this week, we break down the Battle of Pennsylvania! The Pittsburgh Pirates host the Philadelphia Phillies, with the Bucs trying to work back towards .500 and the Phils trying to avoid falling to .500. Which team will pick up the series win?

Finally, we wrap up with another Daily Fantasy pick. This weekend, the Chicago Cubs host the San Diego Padres. Each team boasts a standout third baseman, but which will have the better weekend? Will you be better off playing Manny Machado in his first games ever at Wrigley Field, or Kris Bryant against the Padres’ pitchers?

Check out all of these picks, as well as our updated World Series betting projections, in the video at the top of this page!
