In the latest edition of the Odds On Favorites Podcast, Drew Goldfarb, Rick Rockwell, and Taylor Smith talk football—both college and the NFL—NASCAR Playoffs, UFC Vancouver, and more! The trio will provide their expert betting picks on all of these topics in another fun issue of the OOF Podcast. You can catch the entire podcast in the video above, and find some of the individual segments in other videos below.
Week 2 NFL Betting Picks
After combining to successfully pick over 65% of Week 1’s NFL games, the trio turn their attention to seven NFL games for Week 2. Not shying away from picking the closer games, this week’s featured games include the Green Bay Packers hosting the Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints visiting the Los Angeles Rams, the Sunday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, and the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns.
In a new segment called “Picking Favorites”, the three break down their personal favorite NFL teams’ upcoming game. Drew picks the game between his Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, Rick has his Buffalo Bills against the New York Giants, and Taylor has his Houston Texans taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In addition to all of these picks, Taylor, Rick, and Drew also break down an available prop bet on the Miami Dolphins. Will the Fins end up picking first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft? Which team or teams might contend for that spot this year?
College Football Betting Picks (Week 3)
In the college football world, Week 3 doesn’t offer the same kind of games as Week 2 (there are no games of the same caliber as Clemson vs Texas A&M or LSU vs Texas), but there’s still plenty of betting value. Rick Rockwell discusses a rivalry game that he’s most looking forward to this weekend, as Penn State plays host to Pitt. Rick, Taylor, and Drew also discuss three additional games and their betting odds.
Can South Carolina contend with Alabama enough to prevent the Crimson Tide from covering a 25½-point spread? Will UCF do enough against 1-1 Stanford to garner any attention on the national stage? Finally, is the 7½-point spread favoring Virginia in their game against Florida State too low, too high, or fair?

UFC Vancouver: Cowboy vs Gaethje
UFC returns to North America this weekend for Fight Night Vancouver. The headline bout features fan-favorite Cowboy Donald Cerrone taking on Justin Gaethje in the lightweight division. Cowboy may be the fan favorite, but Gaethje is the betting favorite. Is there any betting value for taking Cerrone for this fight, or is Gaethje the clear choice? Make sure to check out Rick Rockwell’s article for even more on this weekend’s fights.
In boxing, Tyson Fury is ready to take on Otto Wallin in Las Vegas and is a tremendous betting favorite. Will Fury be able to keep the shine on his future rematch with Deontay Wilder, or could Wallin make a bid for the biggest boxing upset since Andy Ruiz Jr. took down Anthony Joshua?
2019 NASCAR Playoffs Predictions
The 2019 NASCAR schedule is nearly at its end, and that means it’s playoff time! The field is down to 16 drivers contending for the 2019 Monster Energy Cup Series Championship, and the playoffs begin this weekend in Las Vegas.
In the podcast, the guys give you their betting picks for the playoffs as a whole as well as this weekend’s South Point 400. For an even more in-depth breakdown of this weekend’s race in the Nevada desert, check out Rick Rockwell’s article on the race.
