UFC 236 Betting Preview and Analysis – Full Video Breakdown
It’s Pay Per View time once again for the UFC! Saturday night is UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. This PPV card features a pair of interim championship fights, each of which should provide some serious excitement inside the Octagon. Rick Rockwell broke down the entire card match-by-match on an article you can find here on GamblingSites.org, as we take a closer look at the co-main events for the show.
In the co-main event, the Middleweight Interim Championship is on the line, as 4th-ranked Kelvin Gastelum takes on 5th-ranked rising star Israel Adesanya. “The Last Stylebender” has big height and reach advantages going for him over the more-experienced Gastelum, though Gastelum is a perfect (4-0) in his UFC career when fighting out of the Red Corner.
For the Main Event, it’s a rematch that’s over seven years in the making, as 4th-ranked Max Holloway squares off against 3rd-ranked Dustin Poirier for the Lightweight Interim Championship. The first meeting between these two marked Holloway’s debut in the UFC, as well as Holloway’s first career loss. Since then, “Blessed” has become the Featherweight Champion, as well as earned a strong ranking at Lightweight. About 1/4th of Poirier’s wins have come by submission in his career, and that included a Mounted Triangle Armbar submission victory over Holloway back in 2012. In fact, that submission win earned “The Diamond” the Submission of the Night bonus.
In addition to going deeper into each of these matchups, we’ll also be breaking down the Over/Under betting outlook for both bouts in the above video. For more on the rest of Saturday night’s card, check out Rick Rockwell’s article here.
