This week in combat sports, UFC returns to pay-per-view, and the Women’s Strawweight Championship is on the line! Reigning champion Rose Namajunas is set to defend her title in front of what’s likely to be an incredibly hostile crowd. Her opponent, Jessica Andrade, is fighting for gold in her home country, and the Rio de Janeiro crowd should be intense for their battle. Andrade is favored, but not by much, coming in at -118. The champion, Namajunas, lists at -102.
In the co-main event, it’s another Brazilian fan favorite in action as MMA icon Anderson Silva challenges Jared Cannonier in the Middleweight Division. Cannonier is favored over the veteran Silva, listing at -125 to win. Silva, the underdog, is shown at +105 to win.

Bellator 221 is headlined by a Champion vs Champion showdown between Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler and Featherweight Champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire. Only Chandler’s Lightweight Championship belt is on the line for this one, but this bout promises to be personal as the two have jawed throughout the buildup.
In addition to mixed martial arts, this weekend also features a pair of boxing cards. You can find Rick’s take on all of these events, as well as his betting picks and tips, by watching the video at the top of this article.
