Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers For Wednesday Night

Your source for daily fantasy basketball value buys returns tonight, and it couldn’t come at a better time with Wednesday boasting a whopping 11 NBA contests.

The more basketball games there are, naturally the more value there is to be had. You’ll want to get a piece of some of the top studs on the night, so let’s take a look at a few bargain buys at each position that could help you fill out the perfect DFS lineup:

Note: All value plays are listed at $6k or less and are based off of DraftKings’ pricing.

PG: Ish Smith – Pelicans ($4.8k) and Elfrid Payton – Magic ($5.6k)

Jrue Holiday is probably out tonight, which means Smith should get the start at the point for the Pellies. He doesn’t have a good matchup in Atlanta against Jeff Teague, but the minutes and production should be there.

Frid carries a little more upside and he’s been coming around over his past two games. He’s turning it on a bit and now he’s at home against a really bad Lakers team. L.A. specifically gives up a lot of production to point guards, so Payton could be busy tonight.

SG: Nik Stauskas – 76ers ($4.9k) and Evan Turner – Celtics ($4.6k)

Sauce Castillo makes our list again just because the kid has the green light to shoot and remains a solid price. He’s getting run and regardless of his matchup as long as he’s on the floor he’ll have a shot at hitting quality numbers. I like him a lot more if DeMarre Carroll is out again tonight, and a little less if Carroll starts.

Turner might be the top value play at two guard tonight, as Avery Bradley is banged up and could sit out. If that’s the case, Turner could start. Even if he doesn’t, Turner usually has his hands in a lot of action as long as he gets some run. It doesn’t hurt that he’s facing one of his former teams, either.

SF: Tobias Harris – Magic ($5.9k) and Joe Johnson – Nets ($4.8k)

Harris has seen his minutes get jerked around a bit due to rotations this year, but he’s super cheap and still carries a good amount of upside. It’s going to be tough to find a better matchup than tonight, when he gets the Lakers at home.

Iso Joe still has a shaky shot but he’s getting as much run as ever lately and can still fill it up when he’s on. He faces a Rockets defense that has been suspect all year and specifically is having trouble against the small forward position. Johnson is always a risk, but he’s a good price and carries a little upside.

PF: Ryan Anderson – Pelicans ($5.7k) and Richaun Holmes – 76ers ($3.2k)

Rando draws the start on a nigh where Anthony Davis is doubtful with a hip issue. Facing the Hawks in Atlanta isn’t ideal, but Anderson should get a ton of run and hoist his fair share of shots. A double-double could be in play in this one and he’ll easily be one of the better value plays of the night.

Holmes is probably the best pure value play of the night, but he comes with clear risk, as he’s young, raw and inexperienced. That being said, Nerlens Noel is out again and Holmes will draw the start at power forward. He put up 19 fantasy points in his last game and there is reason to believe he can top that tonight.

C: Mason Plumlee – Blazers ($5.4k) and Robin Lopez – Knicks ($4.8k)

There isn’t a ton of cheap value at center tonight, but Plumlee and Lopez could do the trick. Plumlee gets a home date with the Spurs, which isn’t ideal, but he’ll be needed so minutes and stuff like rebounds and blocks can probably be counted on.

Lopez is a little riskier, but he’s been quite good with two straight 35+ fantasy point outings. Lopez can be shaky offensively at times, but the run is there and he can do a lot of things. He’s a useful value play tonight.

Always remember there is more value to be had, you just have to go dig for it. Some of tonight’s picks should pay off, though, so consider them as you finalize your daily fantasy basketball lineup for Wednesday night. As always, good luck!
