Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Picks For Friday Night
The NBA season picks back up on Friday night, with a heavy nine-game slate to work with in daily fantasy basketball leagues.
With so many games and expensive studs like Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant and more scheduled to hit the hardwood, we’ll all naturally be looking for some spots to save some coin.
This could be a terrific chance to take advantage of some stellar NBA DFS value plays that reside over at DraftKings. No matter which elite players you plan on targeting, we’ve got a few value picks you’ll want to consider.
Here’s our favorite value plays at each position for Friday Night’s daily fantasy basketball games at DraftKings:
Patty Mills, PG, San Antonio Spurs ($3.8k)
Mills is the best cheap point guard available at DK tonight, seeing as Tony Parker will miss up to a week with an injury. Mills doesn’t always thrive in a starting role, but knows how to score the ball and can also rack up dimes when he’s on.
Mills already has games of 28 and 29 fantasy points in the young season and with the start and an expanded role, he could be a serious threat for around 30 fantasy points once again tonight. At his current price, that makes him a tantalizing NBA DFS value pick.
Sean Kilpatrick, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($4.4k)
Kilpatrick could seen an expanded role immediately tonight, with starting point guard Jeremy Lin slated to miss time with a hamstring ailment.
Kilpatrick was already a fun GPP value play due to his 20+ minutes per game and aptitude for scoring off the bench. He saw his role grow considerably when Lin got hurt last game, however, and finished his last contest with a whopping 47 fantasy points.
Banking on elite production like that again is a reach, but the minutes and role are there for Kilpatrick to shoot for 25-30 fantasy points again tonight, if not a little more.
Devin Booker, SF, Phoenix Suns ($5.9k)
Due to DK position versatility, the explosive Booker makes for a fine value play at either SG or SF tonight. We’ll slide him in at the three spot, as the young pup is due for a big game and gets a mouth watering date with a defensively inept Pelicans team.
Booker has been dealing with a sore toe, but he logged 39 minutes in his last contest and his talent, price and matchup are simply too good to ignore.
Blake Griffin, PF, Los Angeles Clippers ($8.2k)
It’s tough for Blake Griffin to fall in as an NBA DFS value pick, but when two guys at the PF position are priced at over $10k, it can sometimes happen.
That’s the case tonight, as Griffin’s price looks amazingly low when you compare it to the likes of Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant. Griffin doesn’t quite have their upside, but has a positive date with the Grizzlies and has posted 34+ fantasy points each time out this year.
With a 55+ fantasy point performance in his season opener, we also know he can pile on the points. After three games in a row below 50 fantasy points, perhaps Griffin gets it going at an elite level again tonight.
Marc Gasol, C, Memphis Grizzlies ($6.7k)
Gasol is always at risk of being rested due to his foot injury history, but if he plays, he might be too cheap to pass up in a fairly weak center field tonight.
Gasol has done nothing but crush this year, as he’s posted 31+ fantasy points in every single game and is a nightly double-double threat. Just make sure he’s starting before you fire him up.
That does it for our favorite daily fantasy basketball value plays for Friday night. Hopefully one of our value picks (or more!) help you win some mad cash in your NBA DFS games tonight. Regardless, good luck!
