“taktloss47” Scoops $218k Payday at High Stakes Poker
It has been a pretty good couple of days for the high stakes online poker player Seb “taktloss47” Ruthenberg after bringing in profits of $436k throughout them. First he took $218k on Sunday and then he somehow managed to win exactly the same amount the very next day.
His profit yesterday came at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables, with four successful sessions against the likes of Gus Hansen and Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau.
He was not the only big winner on the day either as “Trueteller” also brought in a sizeable chunk of profits worth a total of $143k. He also achieved this by playing 2-7 Triple Draw and came out on top against the likes of “samrostan” and “Kagome Kagome”.
As for the rest of the action, we had winners at the 8-game tables too. It was here that both ‘Crazy Elior” and “FinddaGrind” took home $162k $109k respectively.
Viktor “isildur1” Blom also had a pretty good day, though it could have been so much better if not for some early losses in the day. He ended up collecting $90k when playing at the 8-Game tables against the likes of Phil “Polarizing” Ivey and Gus Hansen. Blom also won the biggest pot of the day where he took a pot worth $177k when he managed to flop a set of sevens against the top pair of Gus Hansen.
Gus Hansen has had a bad time of it recently and it seems to be continuing after another day at the tables saw him come out a big loser. He has lost more than $3 million in total in 2014 alone, so he will have to try and do something to reverse his fortunes. They do say that form is temporary, class is permanent, and so we are pretty sure that he has the ability to turn things around. At least we hope so.
It is difficult to tell if the online high stakes action may take a little bit of a knock in the coming weeks due to the World Series of Poker. Many of these players will be competing, so unless they are going to log in once they have finished the day, the online high stakes poker scene could become a bit quieter than usual.
