AFC East Battle: Bills vs Dolphins Betting Preview, Odds and Free Pick
Pick: Bills -5.5Odds: -105The Buffalo Bills head south to take on AFC East rival the Miami Dolphins in a key divisional matchup for Week 2 of the NFL season. Both teams played divisional games in the opening week with Buffalo trouncing the Jets and Miami losing at New England.
The Dolphins will look to get back on track against the visiting Bills, while Buffalo will look to go 2-0 on the season and in the AFC East. Kickoff inside Hard Rock Stadium is at 1 PM ET.

These two longtime AFC East rivals have played against each other 112 times including four postseason matchups. The Dolphins have the all-time advantage in this rivalry with a record of 61-50-1. However, it’s Buffalo that’s 10-4 in their last 14 head to head games.
- The Buffalo Bills (1-0) looked impressive in their season opening win against the Jets as they dominated on both sides of the ball. If it weren’t for Josh Allen’s two fumbles, the game would’ve been a huge blowout instead of just 27 to 17.
- The Miami Dolphins (0-1) played the Patriots tough on Sunday and were down 14 to 11 with 10:30 minutes left in the 4th quarter. However, they gave up a late TD to the Patriots and lost 21 to 11. Offensively, Miami was pretty bad and will have to face another elite level defense this week.
The Bills do have some injury concerns on the defensive side of the ball with four of their five top linebackers all exiting the game against the Jets. These injuries could have an impact on the game this weekend if none of them can return.
Buffalo opened up as a 3 point favorite and saw their advantage grow all the way to the current line of 5.5 points at most NFL betting sites. The Over/Under opened at 43 points before sliding down to 41 total points with most sports betting websites.

Free NFL Sports Bet and AFC East Game Prediction: Bills -5.5 (-110)
I like this game for the Bills in Week 2. I believe Buffalo matches up well against the Dolphins on both sides of the ball.
Defensively, Buffalo smothered the Jets all game long and only allowed 267 total yards with 69 yards coming on one play as the Bills defenders missed tackles and Jets WR Jamison Crowder ran for 60 yards after the catch.
Buffalo picked off Sam Darnold once, had three sacks, pressured Darnold with just a four man front and held the run game to just 52 yards. The Jets also scored a TD with two minutes left in the game or the score would’ve been even lower.
The Bills Top 5 defense will face a Dolphins offense that put up only 278 yards against the Patriots including just 87 yards on the ground. Additionally, Miami could only muster up 11 points, 191 passing yards, and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three interceptions.
Buffalo’s offense faces a Dolphins defense that gave up 372 total yards, 21 points, and 217 rushing yards. That bodes well for Buffalo’s run game that was stifled by the Jets top ranked rush defense last weekend.

I expect Buffalo’s offense to have a lot of success against Miami on Sunday with quick passes, four and five wide receiver sets, Josh Allen making plays with his legs, and the running game taking off. Defensively, as long as the linebackers are healthy, Buffalo will hold Miami to 17 points or less.
Buffalo is 10-5 ATS in their last 15 road games, 4-1 ATS in last five September games and 6-3 ATS in last nine AFC East games. Miami is 0-6 ATS in their last six September games and 4-6 ATS in their last 10 matchups against Buffalo.
I don’t see Josh Allen throwing for 300 yards this week, but I do see the Bills rushing attack leading the charge with at least 150 yards on the ground and two TDs. Buffalo’s defense could make the day even easier with multiple turnovers and relentlessly harassing Fitzpatrick for four quarters.

- Spread: Bills -5.5 (-110)
