Week 2 of the 2021 season will see the AFC East play against each other as all four teams have divisional matchups this weekend. Of the two games, Buffalo vs Miami is the clear main event.
Buffalo is coming off a disappointing loss last weekend to the Steelers and hope to fix their mistakes before a tough matchup in Miami.
The Dolphins were the only AFC East team to win last Sunday and hope to extend their early season divisional lead.
Kickoff inside Hard Rock Stadium is at 1pm ET.

Bills vs. Dolphins AFC East Game Preview
These two divisional rivals have played against each other 114 times including four postseason games. Miami leads the series with a 61-52-1 all-time record. However, it’s been the Bills who have dominated in recent years with a 7-1 record in the last eight matchups.
Miami is 35-21-1 in home games against the Bills, but Buffalo is 3-1 in the last four head to head meetings at Miami including two wins in a row.
Buffalo (0-1) was up 10-0 at halftime last weekend before getting outscored 23 to 6 and losing to the Steelers. There was plenty of blame to go around as the team and the coaches didn’t live up to expectations. Can the Bills get back on track this weekend against the Dolphins?
Miami (1-0) picked up a big Week 1 win when they held off the Patriots on the road to pick up a 17-16 victory. The Dolphins look to keep their early divisional success going by taking out a Buffalo team that critics are starting to doubt. Can Miami win two AFC East games in a row?
Opening Odds and Line Movement for Game
The spread opened with the Bills favored by 3 to 3.5 points depending on which NFL betting site you looked at. Currently, it remains unchanged.
The Over/Under opened as high as 48.5 points and has slowly come down to an O/U of 47.5 total points with most sportsbooks.
Free AFC East Bet and Game Prediction: Bills -3 (-120)
It’s only Week 2, but this is a crucial early season divisional game between these AFC East rivals.
For Buffalo, they need to bounce back from a disappointing performance last weekend that saw them get outplayed and outcoached in defeat.
For Miami, a win over the Bills puts them in the early lead of the AFC East division and instills even more confidence in the team and the fan base moving forward.
With that in mind, I think reality will set in for both teams come Sunday.
Miami’s Defense Will Struggle vs. Bills
Last weekend, the Dolphins allowed 406 total yards to the Patriots. Even worse, they gave up 281 passing yards to a rookie QB playing his first game of the year.
That bodes well for the Bills who still managed to throw for 270 yards against a top tier defense in Pittsburgh. Furthermore, Buffalo also added 117 yards on the ground which is promising for a team that is a past first offense.
Last year, Allen went 42 of 60 for 639 yards, 7 TDs, and 1 INT against the Dolphins. I see big things in store for Allen and the Bills on offense this weekend.
Buffalo’s Defense Should Find Success
On the other side of the ball, the Bills only allowed 263 total yards against the Steelers. This was close to what Miami put up against the Patriots last weekend when they finished with 276 yards and 17 points. Those numbers aren’t going to get it done for the Dolphins this weekend versus the Bills.
Even with the return of Will Fuller to Miami’s offense, I don’t see this team finding much more success than what they had last weekend.
Tua finished with 202 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. I would be surprised if he does any better than that. Bills should get back their top run stuffer in Star Lotulelei which will only improve a unit that allowed just 75 yards to Pittsburgh on the ground last weekend.
Bills Will Win By More Than a FG
All of the betting trends are pointing to the Bills winning on the road at Miami for the third straight year. This team is too good to have another letdown performance like last weekend. If anything, it was a reality check that they need to execute on all levels and not just rely on last year’s success.
I believe the Bills will put their foot on the gas pedal and come out firing. Look for Buffalo to get out to a double digit lead before the Dolphins close the gap late in the game. Even so, I still expect Buffalo to win by more than a FG and for Josh Allen to throw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs.
