The fourteenth season of ESL Pro League has been underway for more than three weeks already. The event has come down to the best twelve teams, with two of them still waiting for their quarterfinals’ matchups. Liquid vs. Fnatic picks are of utmost importance for tomorrow’s CSGO betting slips, and it’s our duty to bring you closer to the action!
Earlier today, NiP defeated Mousesports and are through to the quarterfinals against OG. Vitality beat Complexity and are through to fight Gambit next. As for the winner of Liquid vs. Fnatic, Heroic awaits to make their life miserable in the next round. Last but not least, the winner of forZe vs. ENCE goes up against NaVi – what a match that will be, no matter which team goes to the quarterfinals.
Liquid vs. Fnatic Picks & Betting Predictions
Last time, these two faced off on the last season of ESL Pro League. It was in the group stage, and Liquid took a straightforward 2:0 win. They haven’t met even once in 2020, and there’s no point going further back than that.
What follows is a closer look at the three key categories at play here. Map depth, recent results, and individual qualities will help us figure out Liquid vs. Fnatic picks. Let’s roll!
If you’re thinking of placing CSGO bets tomorrow, especially on this particular match, then you ought to know more about both teams’ map pool depth. Looking at the recent track record, Liquid has the advantage on Mirage and Inferno. They played five times on Inferno in the last three months and won all of them.
Fnatic have been great on Nuke and Overpass. Neither of the two plays Ancient, so if push comes to shove after 1:1, Ancient could be the decider. In that case, I’m not really sure who to put in front. But, let’s hope we can find out more about our Liquid vs. Fnatic picks with sections on recent results and individual qualities!
As far as the group stage goes, Fnatic won three and lost two while Liquid won four and lost only to Gambit. Statistically, the American team has the advantage. However, I’d like to argue Fnatic made it through to the round of twelve from a much more complex group. They did lose an extra match, but they played against more challenging opponents.
Coming into this one, the bookies fancy Liquid’s chances. On paper, they have the stronger roster and are in slightly better form overall. That, combined with the fact Fnatic players still aren’t 100% synced up, means the odds are strongly leaning towards Liquid’s way.
But, that means there’s plenty of value to be found on the other end of the deal. Many underestimate Fnatic in this one, and I, for one, think the Swedes will surprise us. At +175, I fancy the upset potential as much as I fancy the value.
But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Let’s see if any key contributors stand out!
Individual qualities will come right under the limelight in this one. In the red corner, we have rejuvenated eliGE! He wasn’t at his best against FURIA, but was there when the team needed him the most in previous rounds. One poor display won’t faze him too much – we can expect EliGE to play his part in this one.
But, will it be enough if Fnatic’s exceptional collective brings forth their A-game? Even though the likes of mezii and Brollan are setting the tempo, the remaining trio are not to be underestimated either. When Fnatic play like a team, they easily win matches… and I, for one, think they’ll play like a team against Liquid tomorrow!
Liquid are the heavy favorites here at -230ish. However, looking back at the group stage, Liquid was the better team with four wins and one loss (Fnatic had 3:2), but I reckon Fnatic showed more grit. The Swedes defeated BIG, Faze, and EG… whereas Liquid won their battles against Entropiq, Team One, FURIA, and NiP. Sure, NiP are a top-quality team, but the same can’t be said about others. Plus, in-form mezii should never be taken for granted!
