NASCAR All-Star Race Top 10 Pick – Kevin Harvick (-285)
NASCAR will take a break from points racing this weekend as the Cup Series along with Kevin Harvick head to the Texas Motor Speedway for the 37th running of the All-Star Race.
Currently, Kevin Harvick sits 9th in the driver standings for the second straight week. He finished 22nd at Sonoma last weekend which was the second time he’s finished outside of the Top 20 in the last three races.
Harvick has been consistent in finishing in the Top 10 this year with 11 in the first 16 races. But, he has only four Top 5s, hasn’t been in contention for a race win, and has the lowest number of laps led out of drivers in the Top 11 of the standings with just 39.
Fortunately, Harvick is heading to a racetrack this weekend where he’s been one of the best drivers among the field. Can Harvick have a strong run at Texas Motor Speedway this Sunday, June 13th?
According to NASCAR betting sites, like DraftKings and BetOnline, Harvick barely cracks the Top 10 odds on favorites to win the All-Star Race this weekend.
Yet, he has great value for a race win, Top 3 and Top 5. His Top 10 odds don’t offer any value. But, after you see his track record at TMS then you will understand why he’s a lock for a Top 10 finish this weekend.
Harvick’s Experience at Texas
In 36 career starts at Texas Motor Speedway, Harvick has three wins, 12 Top 5s, 23 Top 10s, a 10.4 average finish and just one DNF.
He’s tied for the second most wins, has the second most Top 5s, has the second best average finish, and tied for the most Top 10s among active drivers.
If that wasn’t convincing enough for you, his recent stretch of races have been stellar as well.
In the last 13 races at TMS, Harvick has three wins, nine Top 5s, 12 Top 10s, and has finished in 16th or better for all of those races. He’s also led laps in 11 of the 13 events.
Furthermore, Harvick has three wins in the last seven Texas races.
Take Harvick to Crack the Top 10
As you can see above, Harvick has a stellar resume at Texas. And, even though he’s not winning races in 2021 as of yet, he’s still finishing in the Top 10 almost every race.
Furthermore, Harvick is a two-time All-Star Race winner having won in 2007 and 2018. He’s the only active driver with more than one All-Star win.
With his strong track record at Texas, being a former All-Star Race winner, and his 2021 Top 10 success, I believe Harvick is a lock to finish inside the Top 10 this weekend. I actually believe he can be a Top 5 car as well.
