After days of confusion and multiple attempts at rescheduling, the Week 5 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans appears to be a go for Tuesday, October 13th. This will be the 3rd Tuesday game since 1946.
Due to all of the positive tests for the Titans organizations, this game was in jeopardy. However, as of Monday October 12th, there have been no new tests and the NFL expects the game to go on as planned.
Both the Bills and Titans are unbeaten and hope to remain tied with the Steelers at the top of the AFC Conference. These two franchises have played against each other a total of 47 times, which includes Tennessee’s history as the Houston Oilers. The Titans lead the all-time series at 28-19.

The Buffalo Bills (4-0) is coming off a solid win over the Raiders in Week 4 as Las Vegas just upset the Chiefs in Week 5. Free NFL Sports Bet and Game Prediction: Buffalo Bills (-190)
Due to the rescheduling, Buffalo got two extra days of rest and preparation for the Titans. They last played on October 4th at Las Vegas. These extra days have allowed some of their players to heal from injuries.
The Titans haven’t played since September 27th when they beat the Vikings 31 to 30. Due to their facility being closed down, the Titans have only completed one full practice. Furthermore, they have numerous players out for this game due to positive tests.
Putting aside the tests and rescheduling, the Bills have clearly been the better team in the first month of the season. Tennessee has won their three games by a combined five points. Buffalo has won by a combined 23 points in four games.
Buffalo has wins over the Jets, the Dolphins who just crushed the 49ers in Week 5, the Rams who are one of the best teams in the NFC, and the Raiders who just went into KC and beat the Chiefs on Sunday. The Titans beat the Jaguars, Broncos and Vikings who have a combined record of 3-11.
The Bills have one of the top offenses in the league as they’re scoring 30.8ppg and put up 425 total ypg. They’re led by Josh Allen and a passing attack that averages 331.5 ypg. Allen has 12 TD passes and just one INT on the year so far.
Tuesday Night Football for the third time since 1946.
The Titans are giving up 24.7ppg, 434.7 total ypg, 268.7 passing ypg and 166 rushing ypg. This could be the week that Buffalo’s rushing attack explodes in the stat sheet. As of now, they haven’t had to do much due to Buffalo’s success throwing the ball.
The Titans average 26.7 ppg, which includes 129 ypg on the ground. They will try to pound the ball on the ground with Derrick Henry as Buffalo has shown signs of weakness in the run defense. They did allow the Rams a lot of success in Week 3 on the ground and the Raiders in Week 4 as well.
Ultimately, I expect Allen and company to put their collective foot on the gas and score at a pace that the Titans can’t match. Look for the Bills defense to build off of their successful second half against the Raiders where they created numerous turnovers and held LV to just 10 second half points.
Tennessee has a subpar defense that won’t be able to slow down the Bills’ high octane offense. Furthermore, they’re missing too many weapons on offense to match score for score.
Go with the Bills moneyline in this contest unless you can find a spread of 3 points or less. I believe Buffalo will win by more than a FG and possibly even a TD as they did against the Raiders in Week 4.
