When you have been involved in the online gambling world as long as I have, you start to have a predisposition about a news site that comes on the market. The industry is very competitive, and with a limited number of product lines, it is always interesting to see how a company plans to stand out in a sea of other sites.

When I started doing my research for the review of BetNow, I started to get that sinking feeling. A newer site, I thought...how long can these guys really stay in business? However, the whole point of these reviews is to give you the most complete, honest look at any gambling site so I will park those sentiments in the hopes that what I find at BetNow will make me very pleased by the end of the review.

Ratings

Site Navigation

Well, I am basing this rating solely on the navigation itself - if I am being honest, it is pretty easy to have excellent navigation when there isn't that much information to deliver. I do like the clean lines of the site, and the betting interface was very intuitive and easy to understand.

Customer service

My interaction with the support department was about my failed deposit, an I found the agent to be very friendly and helpful. While I cannot say every encounter will be the same, I am pleased with what I found from the support department. It would be helpful if there were an FAQ section of the site to tackle general questions. The support department is open 24/7, and you can reach the team by email, phone or Live Chat.

Promotions

While I like the Welcome Bonus that is multi-tiered, there aren't too many other offers on the website at BetNow. I am hopeful that I will receive more special offers via email, and if I do, then I will pass these along to you.

Mobile interface

The browser-based mobile site is designed to work on all sizes of devices, which is excellent news. I tried both the sports betting interface and the casino games and found both to be more than adequate for my style of gambling. Unless your phone comes from the dark ages, you should have no trouble playing with BetNow on your phone or tablet.

Game selection

The sports betting section of the site is clearly geared towards U.S. bettors, but here is a large selection of soccer leagues to complement the four major American sports. The casino doesn't have as many games titles as other casinos, but for a casino that is meant to support a sportsbook, I thought it was totally fine.

Payout speed

This one is a mystery to me. If you use Bitcoin, then you should get paid within minutes, but the other options are not detailed on their website. Based on my experience, you could be waiting days or weeks for your withdrawals to clear if you don't use cryptocurrency. If you have experience with these guys, then let me know!

About the Site and Who Can play?

There isn't much information about BetNow on their website. This may be by design, but for me, it becomes a terrible place to start. I like to know if the group behind any site has had any previous sites, and more importantly if they have been in any financial trouble. Given that I know so many people in the sports betting industry, while there was no information on the site itself, I was able to make a few phone calls to find out that in fact, the group that owns this sportsbook seem to be legit. This is enough for me not to be panicked, so let's move forward.

The site launched in 2016, and you can see some modern design elements to the website that reflects a recent launch. This site seems to be open to anyone, and while it has a license from the Curacao Gaming Authority, it still takes bets from the United States. This is pretty common practice, as the commission is more operator-friendly than most.

What I Liked the Most

I love the look and feel of this site, including the betting pages. The big thing for me these days when reviewing and testing sites is how easily I can find the bets I want to make and how quickly I can get my action in. We'll go through the process in more detail a little later, but this is definitely the piece I liked the most about this site. I can see my readers really enjoying the interface.

What I Liked the Least

While I am all about sports betting sites not overloading players with information - you are there to gamble of course - I would like to see a little more meat on the BetNow website. For some reason, it feels like the design process stopped halfway through, and the site was more concerned about letting you know where they had been mentioned in the press than actually giving you information about things like payment processing and such. At any rate, I sure hope they find some middle ground here, as the site would save a lot of customer support queries if they just added some more info.

The Sportsbook

Creating an account at BetNow is super easy. I clicked on the link to the registration screen,, and then just had to put in a few pieces of information about myself. A minute later, I had an account set up (funding it was a different story - more on that later).

When you have an account, you can access the betting screens - the lines are displayed for those of you just looking, but until you have an account, you can't create any betting slips. I know a lot of people don't like this, but I actually don't mind. It doesn't cost anything to create an account, so the site is just asking for you to be somewhat interested when you first get there.

Making bets is pretty easy, and one of the things that jumped out to me was the number of sports you can bet on. Yes, the site is catering to a U.S. audience, but just look at the different soccer leagues you can bet on here:

  • Copa Sudamericana
  • Algeria - Ligue 1
  • Argentina - Super Liga
  • Argentina - Primera B Nacional
  • Belarus - Vysshaya League
  • Bolivia - Liga de Futbol Profesional
  • Bosnia Herzegovina - Premier Liga
  • Brazil - Serie A
  • Brazil - Serie B
  • Brazil - Copa Do Brasil
  • Chile - Primera Division
  • Chile - Primera B Division
  • Colombia - Liga Aguila
  • Colombia - Copa Colombia
  • Costa Rica - Primera Division
  • Cyprus - 1st Division
  • Czech Republic - First League
  • Denmark - Superliga
  • Ecuador - Serie A
  • Egypt - Premier League
  • England - EFL Cup
  • England - League 2
  • England - Vanarama National League
  • Finland - Veikkausliiga
  • France - Ligue 1
  • France - Ligue 2
  • Germany - Bundesliga
  • Germany - Bundesliga 2
  • Greece - Super League
  • Guatemala - Liga Nacional
  • Honduras - Liga Nacional
  • Hong Kong - Division 1
  • Indonesia - ISC
  • Iran - Pro League
  • Ireland - Premier Division
  • Israel - Premier League
  • Italy - Serie A
  • Italy - Serie B
  • Japan - J League Division 1
  • Kazakhstan - Premier League
  • Lithuania - A-Lyga
  • Mexico - Primera Division
  • Mexico - Copa MX
  • Northern Ireland - Premiership
  • Norway - Eliteserien
  • Norway - Obos Ligaen
  • Paraguay - Primera Division
  • Peru - Primera Division
  • Poland - Ekstraklasa
  • Portugal - Primeira Liga
  • Qatar - Premier League
  • Romania - Liga 1
  • Russia - Premier League
  • Serbia - Super Liga
  • Slovakia - Superliga
  • Slovenia - PRVA Liga
  • South Africa - Premier League
  • South Korea - K League Classic
  • Spain - La Liga
  • Spain - Segunda Division
  • Sweden - Allsvenskan
  • Sweden - Superettan
  • Switzerland - Super League
  • Turkey - Super Lig
  • Ukraine - Premier League
  • United Arab Emirates - AGL
  • Uruguay - Primera Division
  • USA - MLS
  • USA - USL1

That is impressive, even from a European sportsbook standpoint! Now, I am not a huge soccer bettor myself, but I like that the site posts lines on all these games, as it makes them feel just a bit more global. There are tons of other sports you can bet on, like these ones:

  • NFL
  • NCAA FB
  • CFL
  • MLB
  • Japan NPB
  • Mexican Baseball League
  • NHL
  • Russia KHL
  • Golf Futures
  • Tennis
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • NFL Futures
  • NBA Futures
  • Soccer Futures
  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • Counter-Strike
  • Rocket League

One thing to note is that the company takes action on eSports events. This is a big thing for a site to focus on these days, as more young people are playing these games and betting on the outcomes than ever before. I made a few bets as attest, and the betting slip filled quickly and accurately, giving me a series of bets within only a few seconds of selecting the lines.

There are lots of in-play betting options in multiple sports so those of you who want to keep the action going after the start of the game can do so. I saw lots of moving live lines as well as a ton of prop bets, so it sure would appear that these guys are keen to attract a more modern style of gambler.

The Casino Games

Again, when I review an online gambling site, it is typical that a site is forthcoming about their company, including the type of software they are using for products like casino games. Strangely, this is information I could not find on the website, but this actually got me excited for a bit as well. You see, when I know what software a company uses, it is easy for me to know the content I am going to encounter. In this case, there is no shortcut - I had to try out the games for the first time! So, what did I find? Well, the number of games in this casino is small compared to other casino sites I have reviewed, but as an ancillary product, this is totally fine by me!

The casino can be played right from your browser, and this is the case whether you are playing from a PC or from a mobile device. I tried the games on both and didn't notice a difference in the quality of the games I was playing. I think if you are looking to play games on a mobile device while also having a sports betting account, you should have no trouble with this site.

Video Poker

I start almost all my playing reviews with a look at the casino lobby as a whole, then by playing some video poker. Those of you who have read my reviews before know that I love the game, and typically spend far too much time chasing the elusive Royal Flush. I was thrilled to see a few video poker options at BetNow - now, this game matches the typical demographic of a sports bettor, so when you are looking for something to play, I suggest one of these titles!

  • Tens or Better
  • All American
  • Jacks or Better
Table Games

Moving into the table games area, there is the standard list of games available at this casino. I played some Blackjack as a test and found the single and multi-hand versions to both ve very quick and easy to play. Limits start as low as $1, so you don't have to blow your budget playing these games. Here are some of the titles you'll find.

  • Single Hand BlackJack
  • MultiHand BlackJack
  • Craps
  • American Roulette
  • French Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • Hoo Hey How
  • Caribbean Stud
  • Baccarat
  • Trente Quarante
  • Sic Bo
  • Pai Gow
  • Three Card Poker
  • Red Dog
  • Casino War
  • Let 'Em Ride
Slots

OK, I am going to be brutally honest here. I looked at the slots catalog, but I can't say it blew me away. As a result, I barely tried one of the machines. It looked like it was playing just like a regular machine would, but since this review is more focused on games that matter to sports bettors, I didn't waste too much time reviewing the slots here. There are more than enough to choose from, and if this is your kind of thing, then you have some options. If you really love slots games, you should be reading one of my other casino-focused reviews.

Live Dealer Casino Games

BetNow does give its players a chance to play some Live Dealer casino games, which may not be exactly what a sports bettor is looking for but I think they are great! Live Dealer games feature a human dealer that is being streamed to your device from a studio, and you play hands as though you are in a land-based casino. BetNow only offers a handful of tables, but that is still very progressive for a sports-focused site. These games are becoming very popular in the casino world, so you should give them a try if you haven't before.

Does the Site Offer Anything Else?

Aside from casino and sports betting, there is a full racebook at BetNow. If you like to bet on the ponies, you are going to find odds for tracks from all over the United States and Canada, along with selected tracks outside North America. Horse racing betting requires a lot more research, so if you are planning to give it a try, I would suggest you read some articles on how to make bets, so you aren't just throwing away money.

That is all the site offers in the way of other products. If you are looking for poker, bingo, lottery etc...you'll have to check out another site.

What are the Options for Payments?

Here is an area that I found a bit disappointing at BetNow, but really I should have figured given how much they are focused on American players. First, there is no information on the payment methods or times on their website, so that is a bit of a pain. I went to the cashier to find out that really all I could use to deposit were credit cards or Bitcoin. To make matters worse, I tried my credit card, and it didn't work. At that point, I was prompted to call customer service, which I did. They explained that I should go get a prepaid VISA card or that they would walk me through the Bitcoin deposit options. Thankfully, I already have a Bitcoin wallet, so I was able to deposit quickly, but if you aren't up to speed on cryptocurrency, then you may want to check out some of the other pages of our website.

For withdrawals, the site offers a few options like check, bank wire, or person to person transfers like Moneygram. These are all pretty standard for the U.S. market - just don't expect to get paid very quickly unless you are asking for Bitcoin.

What is the Welcome Bonus?

The Welcome Bonus is one of the most important factors that many players take into consideration when they are choosing a site to play with, which is why I cover it in each of my reviews. At BetNow, there is some confusion as to how the Welcome Bonus works, so I thought I would go straight to the source on this one. There are 3 types of first-time bonuses at BetNow, and here is how the site describes each:

To claim your 100% bonus insert promo code BN100 when making your initial deposit.

  • Min. $50 deposit required and max. Bonus is $500.
  • 15X rollover if activity is in the sportsbook and 45 time if in the casino.

To claim your 50% bonus insert promo code BN50 when making your initial deposit.

  • Min. $50 deposit required and max. bonus is $1,000.
  • 8X rollover if activity is in the sportsbook and 30 times if in the casino.

To claim your 25% bonus insert promo code BN25 when making your initial deposit.

  • Min. $50 deposit required and max. bonus is $1,000.
  • 3X rollover if activity is in the sportsbook and 15 times if in the casino.

So, there really is something for everyone. I actually really like the way this bonus is laid out - if you want a bigger amount of bonus dollars, then you need to play through your money longer. What I like the most about this bonus is that is one of the items on the website that is actually explained in full to players - how novel! I would rather convert my bonuses quickly, so I took the 25% option, but you would be fine with any of them.

VIP Program?

Most sportsbooks offer VIP perks to players, but not in the way that an online caisno would. First, there is no mention of a VIP program on the website, which is for a good reason - these programs tend to be very subjective. When you reach a certain level of betting, you can expect to hear from a VIP host from the site offering you some great bonus. While I do like the casino route where the VIP program is fully explained, I understand that it isn't as cut and dry in sports betting, so the site needs to be a little more guarded.

Conclusion

Even though I had some early concerns based on how short a history this site has, I can say that at the end of my comprehensive review of BetNow.eu, I am very happy with what I found. While there are some deficiencies from a website content and payment processing perspective, overall the site brings what it needs to attract sports bettors. The casino is a nice add but not something I need to be happy with the company. The betting interface is excellent both on a PC and mobile phone, so regardless of where you like to make your wagers, this site makes it very easy. I would definitely recommend this site to all my readers.
