MyBookie.ag features a sportsbook, racebook, casino, and live casino and particularly services US players with the top four sports that Americans bet the most. The casino features BetSoft and Concept Gaming with slots, video poker, table games, and a few specialty games as well. Banking is not the most user-friendly as there are no e-wallets and charges for payouts have been known to be relatively high. There are a huge number of bonus offers, but they also come with some of the largest rollovers and toughest requirements around.

The Breakdown

Overall

This rating is based on what we saw and experienced when we checked out this sportsbook and casino. It does not factor in anything aside from that, even though we have read through some slow pay complaints by some of its players.

Game Variety

For the most part, the casino has plenty of casino games that cover the gamut from slots to table to video poker and specialty. However, not all of them are available for mobile play. In the sportsbook, the top four American sports have good coverage, but markets aren't as plentiful for anything else.

Banking

A 48-hour payment processing timeline is a benefit for players, but this site is not transparent with its withdrawal methods and fees. They're not posted publicly, and we were refused the list of options and costs when we individually contacted customer service and asked for that information. There are also no e-wallet options that many players rely on to fund their online accounts.

Bonuses

Plenty of bonuses, especially some fun sportsbook alternatives are included in the promotional lineup, but the rollovers are steep, and reward acceptance ties up sports betting accounts for 30 days as players cannot withdraw anything for a month if they opt to use a welcome or reload bonus.

Customer Support

The agents do respond relatively quickly but don't provide answers to the questions you're asking, at least not in our experience. We'd give a zero in this category except we don't want to judge all of the agents based on our one interaction.

Mobile Casino

The mobile site is not only attractive but very functional. It has straightforward navigation and is easy to use. It's accessed by the mobile browser but converts to a top-notch format for small screens. The only downside is that some casino gaming was missing on the mini version.

Overview of MyBookie.ag

The story of MyBookie

Although MyBookie.ag is a relative newcomer to the online betting community, the people behind the scenes managing the operation are experienced through their affiliation with BetonSports. If you're not familiar with BetonSports, it was a British-based company founded by Gary Kaplan in 1995 who was ultimately arrested in 2009 and signed a plea agreement that included both penalties and incarceration.

Kaplan and the company were indicted for mail fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering and were forced to forfeit $43.6 million in illegally obtained revenue. Kaplan was also sentenced to more than four years in prison.

So, now we've got that out of the way. What's the connection to MyBookie, though? It's not entirely clear.

We do know that to create legitimacy and prove that the operators of this new sportsbook and casino knew what they were doing, they promoted their connection to BetonSports but never went into great detail. Some of the staff disclosed that they were affiliated with the now defunct brand, but their level of involvement is still unclear.

MyBookie holds a license through the Curacao eGaming Commission under the name Duranbah Limited N.V. with mybookie.ag listed as the only holding.

Initial Impressions

Because there are just so many unknowns about the association between the two, it would be unfair to judge this new site based on the reviews of BetonSports. So, prominent rating sites like Sportsbook Review, have opened up the lines of communication and accepted new player feedback. The site currently has a C Rating, so it's not at the top of the list, but it's certainly far removed from the F that BetonSports carried.

There hasn't been a significant amount of player feedback although there have been a few public postings of no pays, but we've also seen the bookie respond to those. We've also heard stories of slower pays that did eventually materialize. And, some loyal players have reported faster cash outs as well, complying with the 48-hour payment approval turnaround that's promoted.

Ultimately it's up to you to decide if you want to take a gamble and do some sports or casino betting on this site. There are some good bonuses up for grabs if you don't mind the rollovers, but we do need to advise you to be cautious of how much you're willing to risk until MyBookie proves itself to you.

Some Player Restrictions

The site accommodates US players and most locations around the globe, but there is a list of exceptions in the terms and conditions area, and it does include China, France, Japan, Russia, Spain, and a few dozen other restrictions.

The e-Wallet is missing

It's pretty rare not to offer at least Skrill or Neteller, but this site doesn't provide for any e-wallet transactions at all. Banking is limited to credit cards, bank transfers, wire transfers, and Bitcoin. Minimum deposits and withdrawals are high and, rumor has it that payouts come with hefty fees.

Do looks matter?

You're not going to hear a lot of complimentary information regarding this operation, but we will say that the website design is first rate. It's eye-catching and features photos as opposed to graphics. The text is large, the site is easy to navigate, and it's just an all around appealing sportsbook and casino.

Betsoft and Concept Gaming

We do like the combination of software companies that stretch the slot banks and provide many more options for casino players. Some of the games are well known, some are new, and some are harder to find so players should appreciate the mix. There are also some progressive jackpot options that allow slot lovers to be in the running for higher prizes that range anywhere from five figures to over a million.

Bonuses & Promotions

That's Good News

When we say that there are a lot of bonuses, we're not exaggerating. There are welcome offers, reloads, cash backs. You'll find sportsbook promotions and casino rewards, and a huge variety of different value added programs that should cater to most bettors' preferences.

MyBookie Promos

Here's the Not So Good.

In fact, this is downright ugly. Let's take the casino bonus for our example; you can get up to $300 with a 100% match bonus on your very first deposit. However, not only is there an incredibly high 50 times rollover, but it applies to both the deposit and the bonus combined. And that's not where it ends. If you lose the bonus, you still have to complete the wagering requirement before you can cash anything out.

We don't typically come right out and recommend that customers accept a bonus or decline it but, in this case, we'll go out on a limb and say that it's probably not a good idea unless you just have cash you're looking to donate to the casino. You have to get very lucky to comply with that requirement and can you imagine how you'd feel if you lost the bonus and still had to keep playing to meet a rollover mandate? That's not fun, that's frustrating.

Additionally, you can't play craps, video poker, baccarat, sic bo, pai gow, roulette, or in the live casino when you're trying to meet a wagering requirement.

When we get into the sportsbook welcome bonus, we're looking at a different scenario, but one thing remains the same. You have to fulfill your wagering requirement, even if you lose the entire bonus, to cash out anything.

The sportsbook welcome bonus is somewhat vague in that it has a five to 15 times rollover mandate. Hmm, five to 15? It can only be used in the sportsbook, not even in the racebook, and the bonus (aka free play) must be on straight wagers on major sports only. Moneyline bets must be when the line is between -200 and +200.

So, we've given you a quick introduction to some of the bonus stipulations, but here's the line-up of offerings.

The Sportsbook Promotions:
For Sports BetsSportsbook Welcome Bonus

100% up to $1,000 if you deposit at least $100

50% up to $1,000 for under $100 deposits

This is the offer that promotes a five to 15 times rollover, and there's another important thing to mention if you're considering accepting this bonus. You can't initiate any withdrawal request until after 30 days of accepting this reward.

For Sports Bets$20 Risk-Free Sports Bet

If you lose a straight bet with a minimum stake of $25, you can email customer service to request a refund. This is only good for your first bet, and the maximum return is $20 that is issued as free play. Although there's only a five times rollover, it applies to the deposit and bonus amount.

For Sports Bets25% Reload Bonus up to $500

As long as you deposit at least $50, you can opt to receive a 25% reload bonus that comes with that strange five to 15 times rollover rule. It's the same set-up as the welcome bonus, and you can't withdraw anything for 30 days.

For Sports BetsSuperman

This is a limited time promotion that takes place during NFL regular season games weeks 1 through 17. You have to bet on every single game offered in the NFL week in a spread bet to participate, and stakes need to be a minimum of $20 in cash (no free play). You need to win every bet, AND we have no idea what the prize is as it's promoted as "they will guarantee players a huge reward."

We won't go into all of the details of every sportsbook promotion, but here are the highlights of what's currently being offered to punters who want to take advantage of any of them.

  • Snap Your Skid (Lose ten or more bets and get $25 cash back)
  • Stream Your Streak (Get ten winning picks in a row and earn a $25 free bet; 20 in a row equals $50 in free play)
  • MMA and Boxing Bad Beat (Lose in the first round and you qualify for the Bad Beat Special)
  • Fresh Start (You need to have at least 20 or more consecutive losing bets. (that's a lot!) Your reward for being a loser (just kidding) is one free bet based on your average stakes.)
  • No Fun Refund (If the team you picked scores a touchdown in the last five minutes and then loses on a late game-winning score, you get your wager refunded.)
  • 10 is the Magic Number (Make ten deposits in a row without cashing out in between, and you get a free play bonus based on your average deposit amount.)
  • Refer a Friend Special (This is a sportsbook promotion whereby you get a 200% bonus up to $200 based on your friend's first deposit.)
The Racebook Promotion:
For Sports Bets8% Rebate

This is a no rollover rebate, and the actual amount depends on both the bet and the track with straight bets on Tracks A, B or C entitled to 3%, exotics on A are at 8%, on B are 5%, and C is 3%.

The Casino Promotions:
For Sports Bets100% Welcome Bonus up to $300

We already talked about the rollover and requirements for this one. It's 50 times play through on both the deposit and bonus amount, and slots are pretty much the only game you can choose as craps, video poker, baccarat, sic bo, pai gow, roulette, and live casino play will not count.

For Sports BetsFriday King of Spades Contest

Friday is blackjack day on MyBookie and you're shooting for two King of Spades dealt to you. The prize up for grabs is $1,000 but, when you look at the specifics, the odds are stacked against you. You have to be dealt the two Kings of Spades on your first hand, you must have bet at least $25, and the dealer has to have a Blackjack in that same game. Yes, the prize is $1,000 but, believe it or not, after all that, you still have a rollover to meet. Pass.

For Sports Bets21st of the Month Rebate

Another offering for Blackjack players as this offer provides an immediate 8% return on all blackjack losses on the 21st of the month only. The rebate comes with a three times rollover attached so, at least it's not the 50x that we're now seeing crop up more than once in this casino.

For Sports BetsTriple Diamonds 2

You guessed it! Another blackjack promotion. Hit 21 with three Diamond 7s and get $500 bonus play. The rollover is three times (where was that three times in the King of Spades Contest?) and you have to be at least $10.

Withdrawals

We're going to honest with you here. We've seen some lists of payout options provided by some players but wanted to confirm everything with MyBookie as there are some pretty significant fees attached and we felt it was only right to make sure that these charges were correct.

We reached out to live chat for confirmation and told them that we wanted to find out what the withdrawal options were and if there were any fees before we joined. They responded by telling us to call in and register an account. When we said we didn't want to do that, we just wanted to know what banking options were available before we registered for a service without details, the agent told us to wait. Then, apparently, someone else came back about ten minutes later asking us for our player account number - once again.

So, these are not verified amounts but some reliable sources provided them.

The website does state that payment processing is only conducted during business days and that there is a 48-hour window for their internal approvals before payment is sent on to the financial services company.

We also know that you need to cash out at least $100 so, for a recreational betting site, they have some major fees and high limits.

Wire Transfers

Minimum withdrawal: $100

Maximum withdrawal: $2,000

Fees: Between $40 and $50

Maximum withdrawal: $375

Fees: Between $32 and $37

ACH Transfers

Minimum withdrawal: $100

Maximum withdrawal: $1,000

Fees: Between $7 and $35

Just to point out a few things. Number one, there aren't any e-wallet options and that's not a good thing in this day and age where so many online players are used to being accommodated with at least Skrill or Neteller.

Also, if you take a look at the Bitcoin payouts, it's pretty unbelievable that they would impose a minimum of $50 and charge such a significant amount of money for copying a wallet address in and pressing send. Bitcoin is the one method that should always be free.

The Sportsbook

The sportsbook is the center of attention on MyBookie, hence the name. It features the standard online book setup with the left side menu, lines in the middle and bet slip on the right. What we do like about this site is that everything is big and bold. You don't have to grab your magnifying glass to review the latest odds.

You can tell that this is a North American serving book as NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL take center stage and soccer is way behind. There are some opportunities for match betting but they are much less than what you'll find in the UK or European sites.

Religion stands out as an individual category for some strange reason. It only has one betting opportunity, though, and that's on the next pope.

Aside from the big four, don't expect to see a big schedule with a huge number of markets available for most everything else. There's a sampling, but not too many games from which to select.

Some of the betting options include:
  • NFL
  • NCAA Football
  • MLB
  • Boxing and MMA
  • Golf
  • Tennis
  • NBA
  • Soccer
  • College Basketball
  • NHL
  • Horse Racing
  • International Baseball
  • Motor Sports
  • E-Sports
  • WNBA
  • International Basketball
  • Religion
  • Entertainment
  • Australian Rules
  • Cricket
Types of Bets

There are quite a few options for the types of wagers you can stake through this bookie and a handy addition to the site is the explanation of each of these formats.

  • Straight Bets
  • Teasers
  • Mixed Special Teasers
  • Parlays (aka Accumulators)
  • Moneylines
  • If Bets
  • Reverses
  • Round Robins
  • Buying Points
Betting Limits

MyBookie self-promotes as a recreational bettor's site. The rules explicitly state:

"MyBookie is a recreational sportsbook and will only accept recreational action and/or players. We reserve the right to close an account and/or forfeit winnings whenever we have identified any behavior that is deemed 'non-recreational'."

We're heading into some fuzzy territory with betting limits.

The maximum winnings are clearly stated as $50,000 for a parlay and the ceiling on all daily combined winnings for one player is $50,000 in total.

So, whereas you may not see a particular maximum bet noted, players need to do the math and figure out what's cashable.

In the rules section, the minimum bet is $2.00 when it's placed online and $25.00 via phone but the rules also state that the minimum depends on the odds and lines taken. However, when you go into the FAQ area, it notes a minimum of $10 per bet and maximum of $1,000 when placed online. So, is it $2 or is it $10?

Live Betting

Although live betting is promoted, we didn't see any current lines posted. It seems that the primary focus of live betting may boil down to Sunday NFL games only.

Mobile Betting

The website quickly translates to mobile format just by using a mobile browser and it's set up efficiently for mobile wagering. The lines are in large text and easy to review and make your picks without fear of constantly selecting the wrong team.

The Racebook

Horse Racing is included in the main sportsbook menu but there's also a separate Racebook that you can access from the top menu of the site.

Thoroughbred and Harness racing is featured from tracks like Presque Isle, Thistledown, and Yonkers. You'll also find thoroughbred tracks from the UK and Australia and Canadian harness racing.

The Casino

Game variety:

The casino features a good variety of both 3D and regular slots as well as video poker, table games, and a few specialty games as well. For the small size, the variety is decent in the full website version but on mobile, you end up with the choice of only one video poker game and no specialty versions.

Audio and video quality:

We found the games to be fast loading and easy to use regardless of format.

Mobile casino:

The mobile casino features 98 games, or more than 50% of the full site's catalog and also includes the full live casino suite as well.

Software:

Concept Gaming and Betsoft

It's certainly not the largest casino you'll find but we wouldn't categorize it as small either. We had read that it only featured BetSoft brands, but we were able to find quite a few Concept Gaming options as well, so players will have more quantity and variety available to them.

Slots Slots

The slots are divided into 3D slots and then just "slots, " but jackpot games scroll through the left side of the screen. It would be handy to have a dedicated progressive jackpot section and showcase the big money that's available for those lucky players, but at least they can watch the rotating graphics to figure out which ones provide the greatest payout potential.

Customer Support

  • Contact Email: via contact form
  • Contact Phone:1-844-866-BETS(2387)
  • Live Chat:24/7

We had a bad experience with the live chat agent we contacted for information on withdrawals. The question was simple and straightforward. All we wanted to know was what payout options are available and what fees are charged for each.

Pretty simple, right? Wrong.

When we didn't provide a player account number because we told the agent we wanted to know the fees first before registering; he advised us to call in and register an account first. We responded by saying we only wanted the banking information so we could make our decision, and we still weren't provided with anything. Another agent returned after ten minutes to ask us for player account information once again.

You could say that it's a quick response live chat service but, if your question isn't answered, then the point is moot.

Summary

Where to begin? Rather than rehash the reputation of the BetonSports site that MyBookie operators were affiliated with, let's just summarize the service that's currently being promoted through MyBookie.ag.

The sports betting end of things is relatively satisfactory for most American or Canadian bettors. There's a good amount of NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL to satisfy most and a few matches here and there of quite a few other sports to appeal to even more punters.

In one area of the site, a minimum of $2 per bet is promoted but, in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section, it says a minimum of $10 per wager is necessary and that's on the very high end for a self-proclaimed recreational bettor's site.

Sports bettors who take advantage of the welcome bonus or some of the other offers are not going to see any cash, despite having successful bets. Rewards tie up your money for a minimum of 30 days, meaning you can't request any payout for 30 days after accepting a free bet bonus.

Live betting is promoted, but we didn't see any in-play opportunities and noticed that some other reviewers didn't either. There may be some during Sunday NFL games but that's probably the extent of it.

Casino players do have some good gaming options and are not just limited to slots as there are plenty of table games and video poker

...Unless you opt for video poker on your smartphone and then you're limited to one game.

The drawback for casino players is the bonus programs. There aren't as many as there are for sports bettors but, after you review the stipulations attached to the welcome bonus, it may not matter anymore. Although the welcome bonus will double your first deposit for up to $300, you have a 50 times play through to meet and it's on both the deposit and reward combined. So, if you deposit $300 to get $300, you're looking at $600 x 50, or $30,000 in betting! Plus, even if you lose the bonus amount, you're still playing for the rollover.

Banking is a bit mysterious. The deposit options are clearly noted on the banking page. You know what your choices are and the minimums and maximums for each.

The withdrawal methods, on the other hand, are a tightly kept secret. You're not provided with that information unless you register a player's account. It's interesting that MyBookie is selling a service that includes financial transfers, but you're not allowed to know how much they'll charge you.

They do publicize 48-hour payment approvals, though, so there is that.

Some Positive Observations:
  • Attractive website
  • Plenty of American sports to bet
  • Casino features some games that players who enjoy Betsoft seek out specifically
  • Some progressive jackpot slot games provide bigger prize potential
  • Live casino is available on both the full website version and mobile
  • Plenty of table and video poker games for non-slot players
  • Racebook offers harness and thoroughbred action
Some Not So Great Ones:
  • 50 times bonus rollovers that apply to the bonus and the deposit combined
  • Bonus acceptance ties up sports betting accounts for 30 days with no withdrawals allowed
  • Live Betting was unavailable even though it's promoted as a service
  • No banking information provided to potential customers for withdrawals
  • Poor customer service
  • Mobile casino only includes one video poker game and no specialty options
  • No e-wallet acceptance for financial transactions
MyBookie Logo Icon

Verdict

There are just too many things that don't add up about MyBookie. The live betting is missing, the payout information and fees are not disclosed, even when you specifically ask for them, the bonus requirements are way too high, and it just doesn't appear to be a site that values its players and provides any real benefits for them. If you're seeking a gambling site based on looks alone, it is one of the more attractive, appealing sites out there but that's about the extent of things.

FAQ

Does this site accept US players?

Not only does it allow US players, but it primarily caters to its American clientele with its sports betting options.

Can I use both the sportsbook and the casino with one account?

Yes. MyBookie doesn't stipulate that you need to have separate betting accounts set up. However, bonus programs are unique to one or the other. You can't combine betting in both to satisfy any wagering requirements.

Will I really have my payout within 48 hours?

Probably not. Although a 48-hour window is promoted, that pertains to internal approvals. Once that process is complete, then your payment still has to be issued. As this operator doesn't accept e-wallets, you may get a quick payout with Bitcoin, but will probably experience delays with everything else.
