BetWhale opened their site to players in 2023, and already have a far better casino and sportsbook offering than many competitors that have years of experience. BetWhale accepts players from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

My Experience at BetWhale

Before creating an account at BetWhale, I moved around their site looking for information on their bonuses, banking, etc. I had a hard time finding the details for their sports and casino bonuses, and would have liked to see a dedicated Bonuses page that had all their offers laid out clearly.

Once I created an account, I found a bit more detail about the promotions, but had to refer to the Terms and Conditions for most of my info.

Other than that, I was impressed with BetWhale. For a new online gambling site, they have a lot to offer. Their games are all top-notch, and I was pretty enthused with the functionality of their sportsbook.

BetWhale’s Bonuses

BetWhale’s bonuses and promotions aren’t nearly as robust as some of the other sites I’ve reviewed. They offer a sports and casino welcome bonus, as well as some free spin bonuses. In the terms and conditions, I also read some information about no-deposit bonuses, but after scouring the site, I was unable to find any no-deposit bonuses that are active at this time.

It’s also worth noting that for casino bonuses, you cannot wager more than $10 on a single bet. This is fairly restrictive for high-stakes players, but casual gambler shouldn’t find this to be an issue.

Sports Welcome Bonus

New sports bettors can claim a welcome bonus of 125% worth up to $1,250. You only have to deposit a minimum of $50 to claim this bonus, and it comes with a 10x rollover. Outright wagers don’t contribute to the bonus, nor do bets with -200 odds.

Casino Welcome Bonus

BetWhale offers new casino players the chance to pad their bankroll with a 250% deposit boost up to $2,500. You only have to deposit $30 to claim this bonus, and it comes with a 30x wagering requirement. In all fairness, 30x might seem high, but it’s lower than industry average, which is between 35x and 40x.

Free Spin Bonuses

If you’re interested in the slots selection at BetWhale, you can take home some free spins to test out new games. BetWhale is always updating their free spin bonuses, and right now you can get:

How BetWhale’s Bonuses Compare to Other Operators

On average, BetWhale’s bonuses are on par with their competitors. The sports welcome bonus, with its 10x rollover, is a shining start among sports betting bonuses. Sites like BetOnline and MyBookie offer a similar bonus up to $1,000, also with a 10x wagering requirement.

The casino welcome bonus is also similar to other casino bonuses I’ve seen. The only thing BetWhale is missing is a tiered welcome bonus that has specific boosts for second, third, and fourth-time deposits.

The open-ended 200% casino bonus is a nice addition, however, with the ability to be claimed up to five times each day.

Banking Methods at BetWhale

BetWhale has a smaller number of banking options than some of their competitors, but they’ve managed to cover the essentials. Plus, they don’t charge fees for withdrawals or deposits. However, their $150 withdrawal minimum is a bet restrictive for low-stakes players, and the 1-3 payout time for crypto is above industry average.

Deposits

As far as deposit options go, BetWhale has their bases covered. They allow Visa deposits, as well as BTC, LTC, and ETH. These four are probably the most popular banking methods.

BetWhale does not charge any fees for depositing, though they do state that there may be additional processing charges for using Ethereum or Tether, simply because of the network they operate on. They only accept ERC-20 Tether, and do not support other Tether networks.

Withdrawals

I was surprised to see Visa as a withdrawal options, as most casinos forgo Visa because it comes with added processing fees. However, BetWhale states that they don’t charge fees for withdrawals.

It is a bit odd that cryptocurrency withdrawals are subject to the same processing time as Visa or bank wire, because other online casinos offer crypto payouts much faster.

BetWhale also states that CashApp Bitcoin wallets are not accepted, and you can only withdrawal funds to a Visa debit card, not a gift card.

BetWhale’s Casino

BetWhale’s Casino is incredibly large, with more than 800 games to choose from. And even with such a large gaming library, their organization is top notch. Their main casino menu separates games into categories, like new, jackpot, slots, table games, video poker, specialty, and live dealer.

Plus, they have a favoriting feature like the sportsbook, making it easy to stash your favorite games away for easy access later.

I would have liked to see a sort function based on software provider, so hopefully they add that in the future. As it stands, I was able to find games from BetSoft, Nucleus, DiceLab, Rival Gaming, and Dragon Gaming.

Slots Games

BetWhale’s largest gambling section is by far their slots section, with around 650 games to enjoy. You’ll find everything from classic fruit slots to new video slots. All of the slots games are high-quality, with crisp visuals and short loading times.

You can also try out their Jackpots section, which as a selection of progressive slots games, like Rags to Witches, Reels of Wealth, and Greedy Goblins.
After playing around for a while, I ended up favoriting a few games. They were:

Table Games

The table game section at BetWhale is broken up between the Blackjack tab and the Table Games tab. It’s nice they separated the two, since the BJ games take up quite a bit of space.

I was impressed by their French Roulette selection. Usually, casinos don’t offer La Partage games, simply because the house edge is so low that they often end up losing money. So if you’re a roulette player, you’re definitely going to want to play their French variant.

I was pretty impressed with the video poker section at BetWhale. In total, they have 36 games, covering the most popular video poker titles, like Aces & Faces, Deuces Wild, and Joker Poker.

For each unique game they offer, they also have a multi-hand variant, which is good for players that love to challenge the RTP of each game. Playing multiple video poker hands at once is a fast way to get ahead of the house edge.

Casual Games

If you’re looking for a more laid-back gambling experience, you can check out the Specialty section at BetWhale. They have a bunch of unique casual games, like scratch cards, bingo, Keno, and other video-game-esque titles.

I am a tad confused, because they’ve added a few blackjack and roulette games to this section, which by all means belong in the table games vertical.

Live Dealer Games

In total, the BetWhale live dealer casino consists of 54 games from both Visionary iGaming and Fresh Deck Studios. The games are broken down like this:

BetWhale is primarily a sportsbook, with options for all major sporting leagues. They also have a fairly robust eSports scene, with up-to-date odds on CS2, League of Legends, DOTA2, and other popular video games.

At first glance, their sportsbook is pretty clean. They have menus for all their broad sports pages, a search function for finding specific matchups, and a “Today” panel to find live events to wager on.

They also allow you to change the odds view between American, Decimal, Fractional, Hong Kong, and Indonesian. You can also modify your betslip to automatically accept odds or price changes, or to only accept better odds.

BetWhale also has a Favorite feature, which allows you to save certain competitions for quick access. All you have to do is check the heart icon next to a league, and it will save your selection to your Favorites tab.

BetWhale’s Mobile Experience

Even though BetWhale doesn’t have a dedicated mobile app for users to download, you can still access their site via a browser on your mobile device. I visited BetWhale on my Moto G Power, running Android 13. I used Google Chrome, and was able to login, play games, access my account details, and place sports wagers just as I would on desktop.

Safety and Security

Here’s all the information I could find about the safety features at BetWhale:

• Can’t process a withdrawal until you’ve submitted KYC documents and verified your email.
• All personal data is protected with various firewalls and encryptions, including, TLS 1.3, X25519, and AES_128_GCM.

Customer Service

As I worked my around the site, I wasn’t able to find an FAQ section or a Help Center. There aren’t any links in the footer of the website, nor are there any links in the main menu or account menu.

The live chat button that appears on all pages has a search bar where you can apparently search the help center for answers. However, everything I typed in the search bar (deposits, Bitcoin, withdrawals, bonuses, etc.) came back with “No Search Results, Please try again”. So perhaps BetWhale has yet to create a help center.

I decided to test out their live chat to find some answers. I asked if they accepted Discover cards for deposits, and received a pretty timely response. You do have to provide your username to start a live chat, but that’s pretty common.

How to Sign Up, Deposit, and Withdraw

• To sign up at BetWhale, simply head to betwhale.ag and click Sign Up in the top right.
• You’ll have to create a username and password, as well as enter your email address.
• Once you continue, you’ll need to provide your address, date of birth, and phone number.
• After that, you can verify your email and confirm your account!

• Then, if you’re depositing with a debit card, you need to submit photos of the front and back of your card in color. For a withdrawal with a bank wire, you need to submit a picture of your bank statement or a screenshot of your online account.
• You can submit these documents direct to customer service.

Final Verdict

Overall, I think that BetWhale offers a nice range of casino games, and good value in their sportsbook. The bonuses are a bit difficult to understand without a dedicated Promotions page, and the withdrawal options aren’t great for low-stakes players. The $150 minimum withdrawal is restricted for casual gamblers.

But, BetWhale has a crisp sportsbook layout and has partnered with many high-quality software developers to stock their online casino. BetWhale is an acceptable place for both novice and seasoned gamblers.
