The current NFL Draft order odds have USC QB Caleb Williams as a -20000 favorite to be the first overall selection. It is impossible to get value off of betting on Williams alone. Luckily, there are plenty of other exciting ways to bet on the upcoming Draft.

Pick Prediction Draft Order Odds
1st Overall Caleb Williams -20000
2nd Overall Jayden Daniels -175
3rd Overall Drake Maye -135
4th Overall Marvin Harrison Jr. -220
5th Overall J.J. McCarthy +400
6th Overall Malik Nabers +155
7th Overall Joe Alt -140
8th Overall Dallas Turner +210
9th Overall Rome Odunze +150
10th Overall Taliese Fuaga +750

3 QBs Drafted in the Top 3

The 2024 NFL Draft is loaded with exciting QB prospects. As is usually the case, the top end of the draft is also loaded with QB-needy teams. Chicago, Washington, and New England hold the first three picks and all three teams need a QB.

Williams is the overwhelming favorite to be the first pick at -20000. Jayden Daniels (-175) and Drake Maye (-135) are favored to be the second and third picks, respectively.

Maye is listed at +155 to be the second pick. Likewise, Daniels (+160) has the second-best odds to be the third overall pick. It will all come down to what Washington decides to do with the second overall selection.

All signs point toward Daniels going to Washington, which means Maye will end up in New England. I think the Patriots should trade out and get picks to build up the rest of their roster. However, I doubt they will do that after team owner Robert Kraft’s comments about wanting a young QB in the building.

Cardinals Stay at 4, Vikings Trade Up

Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy has shot up mock draft boards in recent months. Some pundits think he can break into the top three, but I do not see that happening.

A team could trade up to draft McCarthy, and Arizona and the Chargers could both use as many picks as they can get. However, I believe the Cardinals will stay at number four overall and draft WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison Jr. will give the Cardinals a true WR1, something they sorely need. The Chargers, on the other hand, have multiple holes after losing several starts to cap cuts.

Minnesota acquired an additional first-rounder this year in a trade with Houston. The extra draft capital makes the Vikings the most likely team to trade up for a QB. I believe Minnesota will trade with LA to move up to number five and draft McCarthy.

How Many WRs Will Be Drafted in the Top 10?

The 2024 NFL Draft is full of exciting WR prospects. The latest NFL draft order odds have multiple wide receivers favored to be drafted in the top 10. As I mentioned above, I believe that Marvin Harrison Jr. will be the first WR off the board at the fourth overall pick.

I think Malik Nabers will be the next wide receiver drafted. He is listed at +210 and +155 to be the fifth and sixth overall pick, respectively. Nabers is the favorite in both of those NFL draft props, but I believe he will fall to sixth.

Should the Giants miss out on a QB, then they have no choice but to build around Daniel Jones for another year. Nabers should be a great offensive weapon for Jones and any other QB under center for the Giants moving forward.

I also believe WR Rome Odunze will be drafted in the top 10. He is listed as the +150 favorite to be the ninth overall selection. Chicago currently holds that pick and could give rookie QB Caleb Williams another great weapon by taking Odunze.

When Does the First Defense Player Get Drafted?

Only two teams in the top 10 are likely to take a defensive player, the Titans and the Falcons. Tennessee has the seventh overall pick, and Atlanta has the eighth.

I believe Tennessee will have no choice but to draft OT Joe Alt. The Notre Dame product is the top-rated offensive lineman, and the Titans would be overjoyed to get him with the seventh pick. Alt would immediately upgrade Tennessee’s o-line, and he is the -140 favorite to be the seventh overall pick.

That leaves the Falcons at the number eight pick. Atlanta’s offense is stacked already, and they would have their choice of defensive prospects. They need pass-rushing help, so I believe the Falcons take the first defender and draft Alabama LB Dallas Turner (+210) with the eighth pick.

Jets Beef Up the Offensive Line

Rounding out the top 10 picks is the New York Jets. New York needs to have a better season in year two of the Aaron Rodgers experiment.

Football betting sites have the Georgia TE Brock Bowers listed as the +140 favorite to be the 10th overall pick. However, I believe the Jets will go a different way and draft an offensive lineman instead.

New York traded for OT Morgan Moses and signed OT Tyron Smith in free agency. Both players should help keep Rodgers up this season. However, they have also both been injury-prone in recent years.

I think the Jets will draft a lineman to build depth and to have an insurance policy if and when Moses or Smith miss time. With that in mind, I have the Jets drafting Taliese Fuaga (+750) from Oregon State with the 10th overall pick.

2024 NFL Draft Order Odds Exactas

It can be challenging to find value when betting on top prospects like Caleb Williams. Luckily, sites like Bovada offer exciting exacta wagers as part of their latest NFL Draft order odds.

Top 3 Exacta

A top-three exacta requires you to correctly pick all three of the first picks in the draft. Bovada offers dozens of player and pick combinations for this bet. Check out the table below to see the favorites for this exotic wager.

First Pick Second Pick Third Pick Exacta Odds
Caleb Williams Jayden Daniels Drake Maye -150
Caleb Williams Drake Maye Jayden Daniels +180
Caleb Williams Jayden Daniels J.J. McCarthy +400
Caleb Williams Drake Maye J.J. McCarthy +500
Caleb Williams J.J. McCarthy Drake Maye +1500

Williams is the first pick in most of the options for this exacta, but not all of them. The option with the shortest odds without the USC QB as the first pick has Daniels, Williams, and Maye going one, two, and three, respectively. It is listed at +5000 odds.

I believe Williams will go first, followed by Daniels and Maye, in that order. So, I would take the favorite in this 2024 Draft exacta.

Bovada offers exacts for the top four and top five picks, too. Based on my predictions above, I would take the following top-five exacta:

  1. Caleb Williams
  2. Jayden Daniels
  3. Drake Maye
  4. Marvin Harrison Jr.
  5. J.J. McCarthy

This five-leg exacta is listed at +450 odds. Betting on an exacta can be risky, but it is one of the only ways to get value out of wagering on Williams to go first overall.

Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Exacta

Bovada also has exactas on specific props. For instance, Williams is listed at -20000 to be the first QB selected. Luckily, Bovada offers slightly better odds on an exacta for Williams and Harrison Jr. to be the first quarterback and receiver, respectively.

  • Yes (-700)
  • No (+400)

I believe Williams and Harrison will be the first players drafted at their respective positions. So, I bet on the yes option for this two-player exacta bet.

Prediction: Yes (-700)
