My Experience at BetUS

I spent my afternoon playing a variety of casino games, betting on sports and wagering on horse races at BetUS, and I was impressed by the experience. The site worked well on my iPhone 15, my MacBook and my iMac. It is not as polished as modern sites like SlotsNBets, but the design is clean and functional, there are no glitches, and the user interface is easy-to-navigate.

How the BetUS Bonuses Compare to Other Operators

However, Bovada has lower rollover requirements than BetUS. BetOnline also offers a wider range of ongoing bonuses, such as odds boosts, profit boosts, insurance offers, reduced juice specials, risk-free bets, game of the week offers and weekly casino challenges. Some sites also offer larger casino bonuses than BetUS, such as Super Slots.

BetUS VIP / Loyalty Rewards

BetUS runs a loyalty program for all sports bettors. New customers are automatically enrolled as soon as your first sports wager is graded. You will earn points on every sports bet you place, and the points can be redeemed for free bet credits.

New customers start out in the Blue tier. You can then advance to Silver if you earn 5,000 loyalty points, followed by Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Black. I was impressed by the loyalty program at BetUS, but I was also disappointed that it only covers the sportsbook and not the casino. By contrast, Bovada’s loyalty program rewards customers for placing sports bets, playing casino games, betting on horse races, and entering poker tournaments and cash games.

Banking Methods at BetUS

BetUS offers a relatively small selection of banking options compared to some of the other sites I’ve played at. However, I was pleased to see Litecoin and American Express accepted at the site.

Deposits 

Crypto is the best option for deposits at BetUS. There are no fees to pay when you make a crypto payment, and the limits are significantly higher than those placed upon fiat-based deposits.

The network fees on Bitcoin deposits can be high, so I was happy to see Litecoin on the list of payment options. Transfers on the Litecoin network costs less than $0.01, and the funds normally arrive within less than 10 minutes. That makes LTC quicker and far more cost-effective than BTC.

If you don’t want to use crypto, you can make your deposit Visa, MasterCard, or American Express online. Bank wires and cash transfers are also available, but only if you call the customer service team to arrange the payment. There are no other options, so it would be great to see more methods added in the future.

Withdrawals

I was impressed by the speed and efficiency of the withdrawal process at BetUS. The team processes payout requests 24/7, seven days a week, and withdrawals are normally approved on the same day. It took less than 24 hours for me to get paid out at BetUS, although I used crypto. Fiat-based withdrawals are slower, and they can incur fees.

VIP players receive unlimited free fiat-based withdrawals, but other players will typically need to pay fees. You can arrange a P2P transfer or a wire transfer, or you can request a paper check in the mail.

As you can see, the maximum withdrawal permitted at BetUS is just $5,000 per day. That isn’t an issue for me, but it may make BetUS unsuitable for high rollers. Rivals like BetOnline have far higher withdrawal limits. If you want to make large withdrawals at BetUS, you could try calling the customer service team to see if higher limits can be arranged.

BetUS Casino

BetUS is primarily renowned for its online sportsbook, but the site also features an impressive casino section. There are more than 350 games in total, including online slots, table games, video poker, live dealer games and casual games.

Slots Games 

BetUS hosts a solid range of video slots. They are displayed in a simple grid, which highlights the minimum and maximum bet on each game. There are approximately 50 penny slots, while a couple of the slots have upper limits of $250 per spin: Glorious Gems and Sweet Treats.

The user interface is pretty basic, and there is no way to filter or rearrange the slots titles. Some of the online casinos I’ve played at allow you to filter games by provider or theme, and you can also arrange them by minimum bet, maximum bet, popularity or RTP. That isn’t possible at BetUS. I was also disappointed by the lack of Megaways slots, and I would have liked to see more progressive jackpot slots too.

However, I liked the option to try out the slots for free in demo mode. I was also impressed by the detailed information provided on each slot. These are some of the slots I enjoyed the most:

• Quest to the West | I always seek out slots with high return to player (RTP) rates, so I was pleased to find Quest to the West listed at BetUS. This Betsoft slot has a 97.53% RTP, and it was only released in 2023, so the graphics are excellent and it offers some great bonus features, including walking wilds.
• Gypsy Rose | This is another slot with a high RTP of 97.63%. I liked the mystical theme, and I also enjoyed the bonus feature, especially the second screen round. This is a medium volatility slot too, which offers a decent hit rate and a maximum win of 2,240x.
• At the Copa | At the Copa gets the party started, with dancers, maracas, flamingos, cocktails, and drums. This Betsoft game has a 97.42% RTP, and there are three progressive jackpots. It’s playable from just $0.01, so this is a great option for casual slots players.
• Cleopatra’s | This is one of two Cleopatra-themed slots at BetUS. The graphics are basic and the 95.5% RTP is below average, but it offers the chance to win 10,000x your bet. You can wager $0.20 to $90 per spin, so this game can deliver some large payouts.

Table Games

This is a real strength of BetUS Casino. There are more than 60 virtual table games, and some of them have very high RTP percentages. Blackjack games have their own section. There are over 20 games, including single deck blackjack, double deck blackjack, American blackjack, Perfect Pairs 21+3, Blackjack Switch, 21 Burn, Super 7, Pontoon and many more.

The other games are found in the “Table Games” section, which encompasses roulette, baccarat, craps, poker-style games, and options like three card rummy, Top Card Trumps, War, Draw High Low, and others. There are loads of roulette games, covering European and American variants.

The range is terrific, but I was a little disappointed that there was no French roulette game. The maximum bet on any game is just $500 too, so this casino is not set up for high rollers or anyone pursuing systems like the Martingale.

I also really enjoyed the blackjack tournaments. They are pretty rare at online casinos, but BetUS runs daily tournaments for blackjack players, with $5 buy-ins and $5 rebuys.

Video Poker

There are six video poker games at BetUS: Aces and Eights, Deuces Wild, Double Bonus, Double Double Bonus, Jacks or Better, and Jokers Wild. That covers all the main bases. My favorite games are Deuces Wild and Jacks or Better, so I was happy to find them at BetUS.

In addition to the video poker games, there are lots of table poker options in the table games section. They include Caribbean Stud, Pai Gow Poker, Let It Ride, Mississippi Stud, 3 Card Poker, Oasis Poker, and other titles.

Casual Games

The “Other Games” section features a handful of scratchcards. You can also play video bingo and video keno, plus Plinko and a couple of crash games. I’m not a huge fan of crash games, but I found Touchdown Blitz captivating, and I also appreciated the betting limits of $1 to $100. 

Live Dealer Games

BetUS hosts live dealer games from FreshDeck Studios and Visionary iGaming. There are approximately 30 in total, covering blackjack, roulette, baccarat and table poker.

I enjoyed the live baccarat games, as the streams were smooth, and the hosts were friendly and composed. Some of them are playable for up to $1,000 per hand, including a classic baccarat game and a Super 6 game.

BetUS Sportsbook

There are no live streams, boosts, or bet builders, so this sportsbook is not as sophisticated as some competitors. However, I actually appreciated the clean, simple design, which makes it easy to place bets without any distractions.

Sports

This sportsbook was specifically created for American bettors, so football, basketball, baseball, and hockey are the main sports. They are always featured at the top of the menu, so it is easy to navigate to the NFL, NCAAF, CFL, NBA, WNBA, NCAAB, MLB, and NHL sections. You can also bet on some international leagues, from basketball in Argentina to second division hockey in Germany.

The golf, tennis, soccer, MMA, and boxing sections are also strong at BetUS. There are loads of soccer leagues, including the fifth tier in England and games in countries as diverse as Algeria and Honduras. You can bet on major sports like NASCAR, plus smaller sports such as darts, lacrosse, handball, table tennis, volleyball and snooker. There is also an Olympics section, plus a special section for fixed-odds betting on horse races.

Betting Options

A few years ago, BetUS struggled to compete with rivals like Bovada and MyBookie in terms of betting variety. However, it has upped its game of late, and there are now loads of game props, player props, and alternative lines on NFL, NBA, and MLB games. I would still like to see more markets on NHL games, and a better choice of same game parlay options, but I’m encouraged to see how much BetUS has improved.

It is also getting better at releasing its lines quickly. In the past, BetUS would often release its lines after BetOnline and others, but it turns them around quicker nowadays. The odds are pretty competitive too, and I was pleased to see that BetUS never takes more than the standard juice on sides and totals.

Sportsbook Features

There are also two specific features that I really like about BetUS. One is the “Locker Room” section, which provides written picks and analysis from handicappers on multiple games each day.

The other is BetUS TV, in which handicappers give out picks in a series of videos, covering NFL, college football, NBA, college basketball, MLB, UFC, boxing, loads of different soccer leagues, golf, tennis and even horse racing. The hosts are knowledgeable, and the guests are engaging, bringing a lot of expertise to the table.

BetUS also offers very detailed pre-game stats, which are powered by Gracenote. Just select the bar chart icon alongside any game, and you’ll find scores, standings, team stats, player stats, injury news, trends, head-to-heads and many more data points.

eSports

BetUS has a special section for eSports. The design is slightly different to the rest of the sportsbook, with video streams embedded in pages.

My favorite eSport is CS:GO, and I was happy to find a large volume of tournaments and matchups to bet on. There are standard moneyline bets and map bets, but I also enjoyed browsing prop bets on these matchups.

If you prefer MOBA games, the site takes bets on League of Legends and Dota 2. I also found StarCraft II, World of Warcraft, and sports games such as FIFA.

Horse Racing

There are two ways to bet on horse racing at BetUS. The site takes fixed-odds bets on major races like the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, the Belmont and the Breeders’ Cup Classic. The odds are published well before the races get underway, which is exciting if you like finding early value.

However, most horseplayers will head straight to the racebook section of the site, where you’ll find pari-mutuel betting on hundreds of races per day. BetUS takes bets on thoroughbred and harness racing from across the United States, but you can also bet on racing from the UK, Ireland, France, South Africa, Sweden, Australia and Japan.

The limits suited me fine, but high-stakes bettors might need to look elsewhere. BetUS accepts maximum bets of $2,500 on Category A tracks, and the maximum payout you can receive is $15,000. While that should work for most bettors, players with large bankrolls may find the limits a little constrictive.

BetUS Mobile Experience

BetUS does not offer a native app, but you can visit the site from the browser on any iPhone or Android phone. I tried it out on my iPhone 15, and I also borrowed a Samsung Galaxy S24 to see what it was like on an Android device.

This is another area in which BetUS has improved tremendously. A few years ago, the mobile site was clunky, but the design and the navigation system have been overhauled. The site is now optimized perfectly for anyone playing on a mobile device.

The menus are thoughtfully laid out, so I found the site easy to browse. I was also impressed by how quickly the pages loaded, and I didn’t spot any glitches. I played live table games on the mobile site, and the streams did not crash or suffer from lags.

Safety and Security

BetUS is a pretty secure gambling site. It uses TLS encryption to safeguard your financial information and personal details. The site is licensed and regulated by the government of Curaçao. It is renowned for providing fast, reliable, secure withdrawals.

I should point out that BetUS previously had a poor reputation, as players had issues getting paid out. However, there was a change of management in 2020, and there have not been any problems since then. It is now a trustworthy, reputable site.

I conducted a quick Google search and found out that a group called Maze hacked BetUS in 2020. The group is unlike most hacking collectives, as it names and shames its victims in public to expose their security failings. Maze then demands a ransom in exchange for not publishing the data. However, the data was not revealed, and there have been no security breaches since the new management team took over the site in 2020.

Customer Service

BetUS provides the best customer service I have ever experienced at an online gambling site. I called the team on multiple occasions, and they always answered right away. The agents seemed really warm, friendly, and caring, and they were happy to deal with any requests I made.

I found their replies to be clear, insightful, and helpful. Some customer service agents sound bored and patronizing, but the BetUS representatives were unfailingly patient and gracious. They were also very efficient. 

Many gambling sites do not offer phone support. Those that do generally provide just one phone line, but there are several options at BetUS. There’s one number for account management, another for the casino, another for sports wagering, a separate number for horse racing, a crypto specialist, and one for new accounts, so you’ll be put straight through to an expert in the particular area you need help with.

The live chat service worked very well too. Perhaps the only complaint I had was that the FAQ section is a little chaotic. I would like to see more information in that section too, but I cannot fault the quality of the phone and live chat support.

Final Verdict on BetUS

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at BetUS. The sign-up process was fast, and I liked the clean design and the simple user interface. The site is not particularly sleek compared to modern rivals, but I liked the stripped-back approach.

I’ve never visited a gambling site with so many bonuses. There are loads of different welcome offers to choose from, and BetUS also offers a new bonus each day for casino players. The deposit and withdrawal processes are smooth too.

The site isn’t perfect. I would like to see more slots, a more sophisticated filter system, and higher betting limits in the casino. There’s no poker room either. I’d also like more banking options.

However, I’m impressed by the improvements the BetUS team has made to the sportsbook in recent years. I also really enjoyed the blackjack tournaments, and I thought the customer service was impeccable. Overall, I rated the site highly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BetUS to anyone that wants to bet on sports and play hundreds of casino games in one place.
